Plastic dummy shafts are a fantastic alignment tool. WHEN USED CORRECTLY. This sounds more like installer error. I've never had issue with a plastic dummy shaft. Never had any plastic come off one. But, glad you redid everything and found your issue. -
That's definitely the best outcome. I definitely wouldn't have done what you were originally planning.

Most things are possible with time and money. Have you ever seen a car with the setup you want? Even a pic? Might have to get the copies and mod them. Back to custom stuffs.

Depends on the dealership and staff working there. Have personally worked at 2 dealerships and have know great mechanics and bad ones. The biggest issue is a good mechanic can normally get paid more through a private workshop, so will take that over dealership jobs. But sometimes theyre happy where they are doing what they're doing. Dealerships deal with current cars due to warranty scare tactics and prices, so anything aging gets harder to find people who know the product (staff turnover)
