was just wondering how much fluid the r33 auto boxes hold??

checked mine the other day and it was almost bone dry ( even though i had it serviced not long ago, wont go there again).

searched and couldnt find anything so i thought id check the collective wisdom of SAU!!! :santa:

Well did you check it in park with the engine running? The dipsticks on autos are sumtimes hard to read so if you arent getting an accurate reading with it in park you can try neutral. Do this before you blame anyone.

To fill after auto service put 2 litres in then run it thru the gears IE: from park to reverse for a second with your foot on the brake then to neutral for a second then to drive (all with foot on brake). Repeat this 2 or 3 times then check the dipstick and add more Dex as necessary till you get a level on the bottom mark of the hot section.

BTW: if it were nearly bone dry you wouldnt have any drive at all...

an if its bone dry that means u also have a leak to fix. as said above check in neutral with car idling on level ground. all up from an empty sump to full cold level it should take approx 3 Litres give or take some. use dexron 2 or 3. id be getting that leak fixed soon also.
