Very interesting article. Sit down, grab a drink and Reeeead. Prety much says use the thinest oil you can get. I'm thinking I may try 5W-30 or 0w-30 in my GTR next. Currently running Motul Chrono 300v 10W-40 and have 75PSI oil pressure when cold at 3000 RPM.

Theres roughly 10 pages of reading, so its not for the faint hearted. I'ev only just finished page 1, and just reading over again to pick up the main key points now. just something i wanted to share.

AEHass is a very well known guy on BITOG. However the paper does not consider the effects of lower viscosity oils on the valve train. He is correct though and explains why 10W60s such as Castrol EDGE are not optimal for most street driven Skyrines.
