I have a fairly big list.

fit the parts already on order...

splitfires, injectors AGAIN!!! and 4 pot calipers with 396mm rotors

fine out the tune not expecting anything more than 230rwkw

New parts for the new year.

1 mechanical 1.5 way LSD

2 clutch capable of holding 250rwkw with ease

3 replace gearbox at the same time

4 decent rear rims/tyres that can put down some power with out slippage

5 put an akubra on the back parcell shelf

6 buy an XR6 turbo.. jks ...

And I'm not selling unlike some of you other wishy washy types........lol, I'll enjoy the import scene while its going, even if it is in its twilight years.

Like Dan',I aint selling my pride and joy, twilight years of the import boom or not! I'm approaching my twilight years according to some young whippersnappers out there, but, for me anyway,GT-R ownership is forever. Sorta like a tattoo, really;think long and hard before committing,as you should have it forever. And it costs money. And it can hurt. And it can have you mislabelled. Wow;never thought there were so many similarities...

So,in short:roll on the rebuild!

Tidy up the body & get rid of the two tone, Final Konexion kit, carbon bonnet, new suspension & a few small power mods (fmic, boost, better zorst, safc etc).

But before any of that - Find a new job that pays a decent amount of money so I can afford to start modding -_-

Probably won't happen, but I can dream :)

Cant say I've noticed that the import years are in their twilight..... or am I just blind? :P

tbh, i haven't noticed a sportier sedan car that handles as well and happens to be in the 18-25k bracket and look current.

How can this import years thing be over?

Or is everyone buying some peugeot diesel or toyota prius because the environment is getting all emo?

"Getting all emo' "...LMAO! Those f**king black-hair-dyed little turds are affecting everything, yeah? Ah,go slit your wrists, emo kids...Sorry;rant over.

Well,it does seem import ownership seems 'lees cool' in some young'un's eyes, and we're always hearing that our desired cars are all 'getting long in the tooth' now most are past the 15 year rule. However, show me a Commonwhore or a Falchoon that is the bang-for-your-bucks that any import offers. Nup;can't be done. So Bluprint isn't going blind...maybe just me in my old age, cateracts and all that,LOL!

    • Nah, it's not the reduced knock margin. It is a direct mechanical effect of having to initiate the combustion earlier, while the piston is still rising, which starts to exert combustion pressure on the rising piston earlier, making the rest of the engine work harder to finish driving the piston up to TDC where the combustion pressure stops being a negative and starts being a positive. Your modern engine that only needs ~10° to make MBT doesn't waste the other 10 or so degrees of crank rotation. That's almost all of it. The difference in knock margin might go either way. Remember that modern engines to which you are currently comparing the long tractor engine (the RB) are now running super high compression, direct injection, tricky cam control and maybe even cylinder pressure sensors. You're not comparing apples with other fruit. It's apples and sea weed, or some other evolutionarily primitive vegetation. And remember, squish only really comes into play at the very end of the stroke. It certainly does good things, but it is not the biggest contributor to what's going on. It is quite possibly much less important in 4 valve head than 2 valvers also, because there is so much less squish available to a 4 valve anyway.
    • Food for thought, a longer stroke motor would need less ignition timing vs. a shorter stroke motor requiring more ignition timing.
    • Thanks Duncan, HART is only 10 mins from me (I did my bike license there), it'd be awesome if it ran these types of things.  Sutton Road does look good and they take fewer cars than SMSP which is good.  Surely you have enough land to lay a few million tonnes of concrete and some sprinklers D?
    • I thought an engine that needs more ignition timing to make power is going to result in less power due to reduced knock margin? More time for the combustion to propagate -> more time for it to heat up the rest of the mix to detonation.
    • DCS, war thunder, IL2 - mostly flight sim games.
