Removing ta vent?

I want to remove the right hand side air vent on the dash board to fit my boost gauge...

How do I remove the vent?? (Without breaking it)?

If it's an R33

You need to remove the entire dash trim that goes around the stereo/climate control, across the steering wheel.

Remove ash tray, 2 screws in there.

Remove trim around gear stick (just lift up at the drink holder end), 3 screws at bottom of trim under stereo.

The entire piece then clips off all the way to the right vent.

You need to pull it out far enough to fit a short screw driver in. The vent is a separate bit held on with 2 screws and a clip. It's pretty easy and there's no damage.

By the way, the gauge is awesome there!!

Yeap I worked out how to do it

And I must say......... the gauge looks mad mounted in the vent like that :D 60mm gauge fits perfectly

yo dremen, is 60mm =2 5/8?

No idea............ its not the same size as the autometer or spit fire ones.... it is a blitz gauge

Yeah no worries

Its a little bit tacky at the moment but I'll take a pic...

Also, I had to rotate the gauge 0 bar is at the top, because otherwise you can't see it past the steering wheel

lol should have been clearer,

2 5/8 is the larger size of the splitfire and autometer gauges.

I have the smaller autometer gauge in my vent. My brother has the larger one and there's no chance it will fit.
