Read somewhere the other week on here that there's dodgy walbro fuel pumps being sold. Also just read it in HPI No. 75.........offering something like 50% less flow rate than a stock nissan pump

Question is - how do u identify the genuine walbro from the fakes? especially when it comes to second hand purchases

Some of the copies on the market today are almost unidentifiable from the originals; the best way to protect yourself is purchase from a repeatable dealer.

the metal finish on the genuine ones is more frosted. the fakes are more shiny

dont buy a secondhand fuel pump, theyre relatively cheap new anyway.

and yeah buy from a reputable dealer or trader.

Isnt there some form of seriel number or something you can check to verify that its genuine?
