Hi All,

Before you ask, I have done a search regarding rear brake specification and didn't find much beside stuff like their 2-piston, and also use a drum hand brake setup.

When comparing R32 GTS-t and R33 GTS25-t REAR brakes, are there any differences between them?

e.g.

- Size?

- Brake fluid line differences?

- Different caliper mounts?

- HICAS?

I am asking because I would like to install R32 or R33 rear brakes into my 180SX, also converting the rear to 5-stud and utilising the drum hand brake setup.

I am aware for the conversion I would require all from the skyline:

- Calipers

- Rotors

- Hubs

- Hub Uprights

- Drum brake components

- Hand brake cable

- And Possibly a HICAS lock bar if the skyline uprights have HICAS mounts

I was quote a cheaper price for the R33 rear brake setup than R32 from my local wrecker, I don't know why either, thinking that R32 parts would be cheaper..

Your help is truly appreciated, thanks!

Cheers,

Johnny

Apparently R32 and R33 rear calipers, rotors are all exactly the same!

the R33 Drum Handbrake cable is slightly longer.

Im currently doing a 5 stud conversion on my 180sx, the parts im using are:

R33 Rear calipers

R32 Rear rotors

R32 Bakcing plates and Drum handbrake setup

S14 Rear Hubs (r33 or R32 wont fit a S13)

R33 Handbrake cable (drum handbrake cable mounts are required)

hope that helps!

S14 Rear Hubs (r33 or R32 wont fit a S13)

like f**k they wont :)

i done the whole conversion on mine myself and i used

r33 rotors and calipers and brake lines (slight mod to stock solid line)

r33 hubs which bolted straight on..

r33 drum brake setup and r33 handbrake cables

I've heard the whole r32gts-t rear subrframe can simply be swapped. Givgin you 5 stud + brakes in 6 easy bolts :-) Assuming the skyline unit would be bigger and stronger than an s13 one, the diff could also be un upgrade ?

if your goin to swap whole subframe axles hubs and diff get one from a r32 gtr.. bigger axles and stronger.. i'll be doin it to mine in couple months or so.. if i end up blowing my diff or snapping an axle

r32 gtst runs same size axles and diff is about same strength.. not really worthwhile in my opinion
