Blue Dash Lights In R34's Look Great!

Just to stir all the people who I told my latest mod plan to....but seriosuly they look good

The thing I don't like about them (i'm not knocking you, because i've done the same thing in my car), is that:

firstly, the leds are directional. There are cold spots with less light.

secondly, they're dimmer than the stock bulbs.

thirdly, the blue doens't light up the needle.

I've currently got the wide angle leds in my cluster, but they have all the problems i've said. I'm gonna be making my own to solve the problem.

I like my stock white against the black with a red arrow effect...

Yeah that's why you have to face them downwards or to the rear like I did, the cold spots aren't preceivable with the naked eye, the camera can pick them up though.

With the triple gauge you have to aim the LED to the centre of the needle.

I bought 13000mcd LEDs, they're bright enough

My 34 had those symbols just painted on.

Not all LED's leave dark spots...you just need to use the right ones

wow that looks hot, i think i might do it to mine seeing as just about every other thing that has a light bulb in my car is blue also

there's a DIY thread for changing the R33 climate control to blue LED's....I don't think the R34 would be much different...

But yeah I have to agree, I had blue but they really tire out your eyes after a while. So I went with white for the dash and gauges and blue for the the other stuff.
