Just for the record guys , all your help has been greatly appreciated but they way i may have come across in respect to my auto sparky come freind - when i mentioned that he was lost - please let me re phase that - not lost but pursuing the correct avenues and always coming up with a solution, my intentions were to purely help my self and his quest to solve the issue. Lost was not the correct terminology - rather a minor stall in attempting to find an answer , my apology if this was misconstrude. once again thank you to all that have helped, particularly to my more than capable auto sparky. He with no doubt will solve .

Hi,

Did you end up resolving all of your attessa issues?

Josh

Hi Josh,

Nearly - we are at this stage - We can make it engage thru excelleration but as soon as one touches the brake it disengages and will not come back on until the car is turned off. We then have to start the process again . Cant quite get around this one as yet ?? Any ideas?

When you say "touch the brakes" do you mean to a full stop or slow the car down a little.

How many sensors are hooked up to the brakes? I know there is one on the master cylinder and one on the brake pedal mount. Maybe try disconecting those? (if you haven't tried it already)

So when you turn the car off and on you have the 4wd back to you hit the brakes again. sound similar to when you have pulled the fuse out. My two wheel drive which turns 4wd off and on with out having to turn the car off and on.

do you still have the wheels speed sensors, aka ABS sensors in place?

Yes as far as i know . that is to say i haven't removed them , where is and what is the aka ( ? ) abs sensors.

I have no abs unit at all - i could attach some how the abs sensor only ? I simply do not know at this stage - more in put the better.

The ABS sensors are located on the front driveshaft in the knuckle. You will see this thing sticking into the steering knuckle with a wire coming out of it into the firewall, then into the loom. In the rear they are just ouside of the diff and have the same type of sensor. The sit just off a disk have cutouts on the outside of them, that goes for the front and rear..

If the car originally functioned correctly with the ABS unit in the car, then the sensors should still be there.

Thank you.

you need those sensors to run attessa as they also monitor wheel speed for variation between front and rear ie, wheelspin ie the attessa cuts in. DONT remove those sensors then you will really have problems!!!

Attessa standard disengages when you hit the brakes normally obviosuly the problem you are having is that it wont work again unless you turn the car off. I have had this problem witha standard car before so I dont think you need to worry about it being due to the fact yours is modified. Check the voltage signal that is sent from these wheel sensors when you start the car fresh, then if you can monitor this and you will probably notice when you apply the brake tou might be seeing a voltage drop which in turn cause the attessa computer to shut off till you restart. This may not be the problem but its a starting point.

Cheers

PS good to see her nearly going>>>

On my (abs-removed) r32, I notice the torque gauge go back up to past 50% when I come to a complete stop. I can hear the rear boot relay clicking and my dash lights flicker each time. As soon as I accelerate, it goes back down and then acts normal, showing the torque split.

Hello all ,

Any way i will keep you intouch - if you have any other ideas ,please forward .

yeah no worries I am about to make one for myself so I can make you one also at the same time. I will be designing it all in cad, and using a willwood master cylinder, all aluminium naturally. Just working on the design as I want it to look as nice a possible.

You may need to resend your message again I think my inbox was full as I havent received it yet.

Cheers
