1/4 Mile Runs

Just Wondering if you could give me some Comments, Advice, Guidance etc.. n Opinions about this Matter.

Went to Drags for the 1st time.. n i wasn't really sure what to expect. So just want to know if you reckon this is a Reasonable Time that i got or if i could go faster...

Car: R33 GTS-T Series 2

My Mods are 3" Turbo Back, Hybrid GT FMIC, 10 Psi Boost, 9 Puck Clutch, HKS Pod, Cusco Coilovers. Got 17" Street Tyres.. 245/45'z they Nexen N3000 Tyres. I Removed the Backseat n Spare Tyre.. n dropped the Back tyre Pressure to 28 Psi.

Best i got on the night was

60' 2.302 sec

330' 6.032

660' 9.087

660' Speed 131.02 kph

1000' 11.696

Reaction Time: 0.557

Terminal Speed: 163.83 kph

Elapsed Time: 13.921

To me, that's a pretty good time.

I reckon drop another 6-8psi outta the tyres and try again.

If you can get that 60ft down to 2.0/2.1 you'll be in the running for a mid--->low 13

i agree with r31nismoid. everything else is pretty good. but i would try bout 15psi

Hi Guys Went Down Again.. Tried Several Things... n Suprisingly my 1st Run was my Quickest time of the Lot.. had about 6 Runs. Last Run (Slowest) where i dropped the Tyre Pressure to 17 Psi.. N Where my 1st run (Fastest) was about 21-22 Psi.

60' 2.475 sec

330' 6.622 sec

660' 9.893 sec

660' Speed 124.87 kph

1000' 12.556 sec

Reaction Time: 0.586

Terminal Speed: 162.36 kph

Elapsed Time: 14.816sec

1ST RUN

60' 2.328 sec

330' 6.021 sec

660' 9.053 sec

660' Speed 131.79 kph

1000' 11.614 sec

Reaction Time: 0.600

Terminal Speed: 168.20 kph

Elapsed Time: 13.790sec

Managed to get my 60" to 2.257sec but got 13.960 ET

So how do u get a better 60" Time? n What Revs do u guys Launch it on?

What if u get heaps of wheel spin during take.. off, do guys short shift 1st etc..?? Tried different things.. not sure wat 2 do next time hehe TA
