hope the thieves are dead or crippled for life.....and I hope the death was long and painful

Wishing death upon someone is pretty harsh... especially because they stole from bunnings :D

I'd understand making them go to prison and all that for stealing but death... i suppose we all use modern technologies and live in a civilised society.. but we still think real old school...

"KILL THAT SONOFABITCH FOR STEALING THAT STANLY SCREWDRIVER!!"

Lighten up everyone....

I think he was referring to the fact that they stole someones R33 GTR.. No-one gives a shit that they stole some screw drivers from a multi million dollar corporation! When they steal someones pride and joy that this person has obviously saved their hard earned cash to buy - then it's a completely different story! :D

Hang on hang on... So they stole a GTR did they? I was under the impression that they were driving around in a gtst according to the first post? Cars get stolen every day still dunno about the death part though... :D

But screw em they got what they deserved and yes karma bites everyone in their asses sooner or later... They'll probably get away with a slap on the ass! Thats law for ya! :D

Ahh.. yes well we've established about 5 times since the first post that it was in fact a GTR

At the end of the day, GTR or not - Stealing someones pride and joy is a LOW act. Steal a DVD player, watch, Playstation... Fine! But obviously if someone has a performance car, it usually means a GREAT deal to them, so it's reprehensible.

apparently it was a GTR and it was reported stolen some time ago. still had the same plates on it from when it was stolen...
How dumb do you have to be to be driving around a stolen car constantly?

I just saw this on the news and don't know it it was a real GTR but I hope the theives get what they deserve.

yeh a mate rang me and told me it was in fact a gtr and it was reported stolen a little while ago. i was about 15 metres away so it was hard to tell and i could only see the back as the front was completely missing
Saw this on the news earlier but didnt know whether to post it up or not. They showed the plates too from the front. Not much left of it but looked like a Silver 33 GTR to me.
I dunno why people keep saying it was GTST when it was clearly a GTR.

I bet you haven't had your car flogged then mate.

I am sure you would be extremely angry if someone stole your Skyline, especially being a GTR after all the money you have paid for it etc.. And to have it written off by some dickheads would just top it off.

I think Jon summed it all up so I'm not gonna say any more.

I'm with R33HVN, i am a little surprised at the comments "wishing death" upon these scumbags.

Yes theft is a violating thing to happen to sum1 but death for theft? Thats taking an eye for an eye to a whole new level....are u little shi7s playing too many computer games?

Are we a civilised society or a bunch of animals?

If u ppl ran this country i think the middle east or america would seem a nicer place.

Man i could add another 2c worth of religion and politics to this but it would be pointless unless ur something without ur car.

Well I guess you're just another person who's never been on the receiving end of a subtantial crime ?

( And no, I'm not talking about someone who stole your screwdriver. )

And for the record, this "little shi7" is 39 years old, doesn't sit around playing computer games, has had a home break-in with a large amount of contents stolen, a fully modified car stolen and 2 other cars broken into with contents stolen.

Once you've been on the receiving end of this scenario and you've seen just how incredibly useless the laws are when dealing with this type of situation, you'll understand people's deep seeded hatred towards those who offend time and time again and simply get a smack on the hand as they laugh in the face of the law on their way back out on the streets to re-offend. Change the laws ? What a great idea ! Except there's a whole bunch of people out there who preach that even a person who's committed a cold blooded murder has rights, that will stand in your way.....

So, what's you're opinion on those who commit rape ?? ( for your own safety I suggest you don't answer that )

Are we a civilised society or a bunch of animals?

The people who usually commit the crimes ARE the animals and should be tread as such. I will always treat people the way they treat me. If you dissrespect people's live's and values, then you should be treated in the same way. If you choose to live your life stealing off those who work long & hard to get by/ahead, then your right to a place amoungst the rest of the population is severely questionable IMO.

You are 100% entitled to your opinion and can add another 2c or $2M worth of religion and politics to this discussion but I doubt you will ever change the minds of those affected by crime. :)

Well thankyou GTR-80Y, I'm glad at least someone agrees but i'm not here to argue with anyone, everyones opinion counts (only if its a valid comment) but people here act like its their own car... look stealing someones pride and joy does suck and if it was my car then yea i'd be pissed but insurance obviously will cover it.. if you can afford a GTR you can afford insurance i'm sorry but you can't own a high performance vehicle like that with no insurance.

In my eyes a GTR is like the king of japanese performance vehicles, and not having insurance is like driving around without wheels on your fkn rotors... I do feel for the person who's vehicle was stolen but death is the easy way out of facing the music. I'd certainly agree to let them rot in prison because prison can be worse than death.. so why kill someone when you can make them suffer?

I do also agree with FAT34 about the "I will always treat people the way they treat me. If you dissrespect people's live's and values, then you should be treated in the same way."

These theives obviously didn't do anything to the people talking on this topic so why are they so offended by my comments? If you hate these people that stole so much go and do something about it don't preach on here... as i said before i think people need to lighten up a little, take a deep breath and say WOOOSSAAA...

If everyone still thought "OLD SCHOOL" the world would be a better place... Obviously not everyone does...

People get off far too easy these days hence repeat offenders...

Im sure if this was your car you wouldnt be lightening up.

mate just for your information...

Middle eastern countries that arent occupied by foreign forces, ie: Iraq, Palestine etc are all actually extremely safe and have a very low crime rate...

Id be more willing to walk down a street at 1am in those countries than I would here at home!

Id be more willing to park my car on the street than I am here at home!

We can learn alot from those countries!

A theif isnt a civilised person, how are they supposed to understand civil ways???

If our laws were truly effective then these guys that stole should get out and never do it again... How likely is that????

people here act like its their own car...

For many people, it has happened to them ( to some degree ) so they feel the pain.

look stealing someones pride and joy does suck and if it was my car then yea i'd be pissed but insurance obviously will cover it..

Quiet often, insurance will not fully cover what you've spent and surely it never cover's all the time you have personally invested ( blood, sweat & tears ;) ).

if you can afford a GTR you can afford insurance i'm sorry but you can't own a high performance vehicle like that with no insurance.

I agree 100%, but wouldn't it be nice if insurance was only needed for the odd fender bender ? ( and not because someone POS stole your car, thrashed the nuts off it, sold parts off it, used it to commit crimes and then destroyed it ? )

Anyone who's spent some time in Japan will know just how pleasant it feels to be in a country with minimal crime. It's such a shame that we can't import some of those standards with the cars :)

I'd certainly agree to let them rot in prison because prison can be worse than death.. so why kill someone when you can make them suffer?

That's the problem, they will "never" be left to rot in prison :P and if you actually see how crims doing soft time live in prison, you'd be amazed ( and disgusted ).

Are we sure about that ?

Given the "opportunity", I'd say most would love to  But since that's not likely to happen, this is just an opportunity & place to vent.

And just to add, if it was my car stolen i'd love to be the first one there with a gun to put a bullet in their spine.. not in their head... at least they'd never forget that way.

And what sort of life do you think you'd end up with ( and your family ) after being caught, convicted and sued ?

as i said before i think people need to lighten up a little, take a deep breath and say WOOOSSAAA...

True, but it's a topic that's pretty passionate to those affected

Anyway, enough from me..... :end rant:

Fair comments... I also suppose if someone put a gun in your hands and said ok this is the person that stole your car... shoot him in the head... would you do it?

What sort of life would you live if you killed somone? Mate even if you beat someone up and they go squealing to the cops you'll still get into shit so might aswell make it worth while... given the opportunity you think people on here really would kill someone? More than likely beat em up and yes i'd love to help...

As i said i'm all for the punishment but not death for stealing a car, if they kill themselves in the mean time well thats their own fault! Thats what i'm trying to say!

If your so into my comments then why dont you take that into consideration?

thats a fair call...

It just makes you so angry to see someones hard earned property just be taken away...

Your right, given the opportunity to kill someone Im fairly sure no one here would really do it...

its just difficult cause we have panzy laws in place in our country, we need to get tough.

Oh sh!t yea... I agree with all of that... it's hard to comprehend sometimes that your pride and joy is pretty much gone but hey at least when they robbed his place they didn't hurt him nor his family. Material things can be replaced, lives can't.

It's a strange world we live in, but unfortunatly the law sucks balls and when...FFS if someone robs your house, you beat him up, YOU GET SUED! WTF IS THAT? :)

Anyway thats a bit off topic but i do feel for the person who's car was stolen, thats what this is all about isn't it?

Oh and FAT34 tell me what these theives... THESE 2 in particular did to the people speaking on this topic? I'd just like to know...

The point I'm trying to make here is that I'd bet my left one that these 2 particular individuals have committed more crimes than just this one ( which is actually about 5 or 6 criminal offences in one event ). I find it hard to believe that these two were complete angels prior to this event.

There seems to be quite a few angry people posting that have been affected in the past . Coincidence ??

Guilty until proven innocent ? Maybe but that's what you get when you show the world you're thieving scum.

What sort of life would you live if you killed somone?

Ask Chopper Reed ( sp ) :)

Anyway George, we'll just have to agree to dissagree on some points :)

    • I have offset Nismo brackets so the fact the gktechs can pivot is less important to me. I have 170mm JIC arms with bushings - but they provide no adjustment and I'm not sure whiteline eccentric bushings will fit them (I don't want to ruin the bushings currently in them to find out). Ideally I want something with bushings + adjustment; hence why I'd like to find a pair of these. Unfortunately they aren't easy to find.
    • @Vee37 How much do you really care about finding these pads again? If your pads are quiet, work well and produce minimal dust, really isn't that enough? If you are set on finding the exact pads again, I suppose I'd do something like this -  Visit your local Jax, find out what brand of pads they carry. If the Jax workshop you previously went to had the pads on the shelf, then you can almost guarantee it will be of said brand.   I'm guessing you don't have the receipt for the previous work and pads. Can you visit a Jax workshop and see if they can look up your previous job to see what pads were fitted?  Still no luck? Put your stalker hat on, find the staff that used to work at the Jax store and ask them. Talk to local workshops, try to find out where the mechanics went to. Talk to Jax workshops, maybe they relocated to another workshop. When it comes to mechanics, its a small world. You'd be surprised how easy it is to track someone down. If these ideas don't work, shit will start getting crazy very quickly.... You could find out every brand and model of pad that fits that car... and try them individually ticking each off the list if it wasn't the one you were looking for.... If you go down this path your going to want to learn how to swap pads yourself, it is very easy, takes minimal tools and space. If you have room to park the car you have room to swap the pads. Plus you have the advantage of making sure all the brake hardware goes back in so they won't squeal!
    • You miss spelled bearings...
    • Just putting it out there, that's a decent list. You would be better off *not* doing *any* of that and buying someone else's modded car. Like mine. Or anybody else's. Yes it's lotto dependent and all this and that but that 70K (remember, double your guesses) could go elsewhere. Keep it stock, save your money, go lowball @Dose Pipe Sutututu :p
    • Does not mean what you think it means. The continual rising coefficient is the coefficient of friction that continues to rise with increasing temperature. Not "rising during a single stop", except inasmuch as the brakes should get hotter during a single stop. The RR would not be the best choice for a streeter. Yeah....no it's not. JAX would rummage around in the "shit pads we use for all shitboxen that come in here" and install those.
