djr81
Latest news is Kubica is NOT allowed to race at Indy and Vettel will replace him.Cant say as im too dissappointed. Been wanting to see what Vettel could do for ages now Reckon he might do to Kubica what Kubica did to Villeneuve. Sorry Baron, just my thoughts. Hmm, McLaren 28 points up on Ferrari & looking good for Indy. Suddenly it is all looking ugly for Maranello. Where were you all last year when I was complaining about not being able to get aguri merchandise at the Aus GP yes duncan ok you are the super aguri pioneer... that said they've always had some promise, but were always the underdog coming in to F1. it's basically like the gtr vs. ferrari (jdm vs. euro) battle we have; but on a more professional level. something that will require time for people to catch on. Roy
I cant handle how hannel 10 cant even go the 15min qualifying session without an ad break! Isnt that part of the reason for the three sessions? Kozeyekan
Y'know, that's one great thing about watching the qualifying on TV in the UK. there are very few ad breaks, and there is full action of all the sessions. I tell you what though, keep an eye on the BMW replacement driver Vettel. 19 years old, and he looks about 12, but he really did well. Naturally, it's a lot different in qualifying compared to racing, but it'll be interesting to see how he starts. 1 Lewis Hamilton 2 Fernando Alonso 3 Felipe Massa 4 Kimi Räikkönen 5 Nick Heidfeld 6 Heikki Kovalainen 7 Sebastian Vettel 8 Jarno Trulli 9 Mark Webber 10 Giancarlo Fisichella 11 David Coulthard 12 Ralf Schumacher 13 Jenson Button 14 Nico Rosberg 15 Rubens Barrichello 16 Anthony Davidson 17 Alexander Wurz 18 Takuma Sato 19 Vitantonio Liuzzi 20 Scott Speed 21 Adrian Sutil 22 Christijan Albers It'll be interesting to see how Hamilton does. No reason why he can't win again. It'll be even better to see how Alonso starts. He actually aborted his last hot lap to run on the 'dirty' line that went through the p2 position, just to clean it up, so he must have known that he just didn't have the speed. Either way, it should be a great race to watch, some wild rookies, some decorated vets needing to prove some things, and BMW threatening Ferrari's constructors position. Can't wait. My prediction: 1. Massa 2. Hamilton 3. Heidfeld I think Alonso will go for it form the start and probably screw the pooch again, maybe even clip Hamilton a bit or push him off the line, letting Massa through. Heidfeld is just looking good enough to stick around and sneak up. Anyway, looking forward to race time. Roy
Maybe Alonso shoudl have stuck with Renault and bullying the fragile Fisi? It seems he has walked into good old McLaren and is up against their new favourite son. Coulthard copped ith with Mika, Montoya with Kimi...now Alonso with Lewis. Though i suspect Alonso is in a far better place to take on the current favourite son then Montoya/Coulthard. But it does appear that Lewis is a real talent and has great support within the team, and for the time beign Alonso is giving him a slight lead, mental games will only make Lewis stronger...he needs results that assert his class within the team. On another note, RBR at least appear to be the strong 4th team, lets hope that Webber can get some points....he farkin better if im getting up at 3am on a school night Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/149406-2007-f1-season/page/30/#findComment-3182926 Share on other sites

ctjet
F1`s first night test a success Saturday 16th June 2007 Formula One's first night test, held at Indianapolis this week, has been deemed a success by the FIA. Looking to host a night race for the first time next season, the FIA sprung a surprise test at the hallowed Brickyard on Thursday night. A section of the track was lit up by lighting provided by American company Musco Lighting, which provides lights to the US-based NASCAR, Champ Car and IRL series. The safety car was then driven back-and-forth through the corners, while marshals were also called in for the test, waving their flags to check visibility. And according to an FIA source, the test went better than expected. "It went very well - better than we anticipated, in fact," an FIA source told Autosport. "We didn't see any problems and it helped us understand a few things. "Marshals were out there - just with normal flags and, if anything, they were more visible than they are normally." The Singapore Grand Prix, which will be making its F1 debut next season, is already been touted as the first venue for a night grand prix. ... awesome Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/149406-2007-f1-season/page/30/#findComment-3183522 Share on other sites
Kozeyekan
Heh. I can just see it now. Super Aguri take aleaf out of initial D and paint their car black and turn off all their lights, so they can use an "invisible line" pass and drift around Alonso in the dark! If they do this, there are a few things that will definitely happen: Alonso will complain. The winner will say it's great. Raikkonen will just shake his head and say "No" then a big guy will tell the media to go away. Beer Baron
Crash-umo Sato baby! Should've gotten the Super Aguri stuff while I was at the GP this year.Good to see some of the customer cars doing well. Toyota and Honda with all that money and still no result. Shows money can't buy a win in F1. no super aguri stuff in melb. hasn't been for either of the two years they've been in F1. The only place I've seen it is japan. shame really. i'm sure they need the dough.
