“Away from today's events, I would just like to make it clear that, although I criticised Hamilton's driving in yesterday's FIA Press Conference, at no time have I made any official complaint about anyone's driving following Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.”

What i dont understand still is why he pulled so far to the right and slowed down... regardless if he is on the radio to his team. If he was behind the safety car, talking to the team should not be much of a problem, considering they talk to them when the engine is screaming at 18k down the straights. You can see how much the safety car pulls away. He did it coming out of a corner/in between corners, if he was going to pull to the side he could have at least done it on the straight. The safety car is not even going that fast compared to what an F1 car can do. I can't accept that he had 'nothing' or 'little' to do with it, he had a lot to do with it. You cant just go off the line the safety car is taking and slow down that much. Obviously Vettel is still the majority to blame.

besides if lewis was onto his team complaining about Mark i think he deserves to be penalised just for that, cant get everything his own way.

And people call Alonso a sook

LH (quote - sort of :-) )

"If i get penalised I'm gonna be really upset, and i'm gonna take my car and go home, cause I don't want to play if everything doesn't go my way"

Here's a guy who has had EVERYTHING go his way all year, and he's bitching about being hard done by.

I want someone to put him into a wall Days of Thunder style. :-)

Im really starting to get fkn sick of the itv website. Any chance they get they're trying to diminish Alonso and at the same time defend any thing and everything Hamilton says or does, they're onto it like seagulls. Please for gods sake has some neutrality about your stories. In their friday form guide, by none other than James Allen, they spend a third of it pissing on about Hamilton and his Fuji antics. For eg:

So Lewis Hamilton has escaped a penalty for his erratic driving behind the safety car in Fuji.

This is a relief for him and for his fans, who hope to see him crowned world champion on Sunday, but it will be another source of annoyance to the other drivers, who are beginning to think that Lewis is teacher's pet as far as the powers that be in this sport are concerned.

The press conference on Thursday was an unsavoury affair where all the drivers ganged up on Lewis (who wasn't there) and made their complaints clear.

It reminded me so much of the early 1990s when Schumacher started pulling some strokes and beating everyone and there was this rising tide of jealousy.

Schumacher of course went on to develop the blueprint for how to get a top team working entirely for you.

This is something every driver wishes for but few are able to get.

Alonso would love to have it, but Lewis stands in his way and now Fernando wants us to believe that McLaren is Lewis' kingdom just as Ferrari was Schumachers.

Of course no driver has ever had the support from a team to get him into F1 with a race-winning car that Lewis had and you can understand the resentment of guys who had to slog away for years on their own to make it into F1, most of whom will never sit in a competitive car.

This view extends to the foreign media, who have developed a clear view that too many things have been slanted Lewis' way this season.

It was amazing that Fernando chose not to rebut a suggestion in the Thursday press conference from one of the French journalists that McLaren had been adjusting his tyre pressures and so on to his disadvantage in Japan.

If the relationship wasnt destroyed before this weekend it certainly is now.

He left the clear impression that he thought something like that had taken place.

Imagine if McLaren got caught doing that, after all that has been done to them in Hungary and in the World Council! Why would they take that risk?

I mean, wtf does this have to do with FRIDAYS FORM GUIDE... IN CHINA?! As of today this site is officially dead to me. If i have to sit there and hear about it, im sure as hell not going to go and read about it too.

yes, i agree it doesnt have anything to do with the price of the tea in china ( ahem! ) but i read it and it seemed like rationality to me. It wasnt about banging about LH...i think JA addressed his thoughts pretty well. Made sense to me!

Did anyone see LH get interviewed on RPM on channel 10? He felt so damn sorry for himself that anyone could possibly lay any blame for him in the webber and verttel incident, i didnt mind him before... but the way he was going on about it i now dislike him ALOT.

I didnt see it , im in japan! but you know i think personally that Lewis has had too much of a whinge about whats been happening this season. He is the target that everyone is trying to shoot at because hes at the top of the tree, hes the feckin man at the moment.

i really think that Lewis Hamilton needs to ...HARDEN THE f**k UP.

LH on pole for China! Well done son. That last lap from him was a stunner. He deserves to be WDC with that kind of form.

good to see RBR right up there with DC 5th and sir 'barf a lot' Webbo in 7th, although i wouldve preferred it to be the other way around...

still, Marks lap times indicate hes running heavier...when isnt he? and that will be interesting to watch. Great to see both of them in front of BMW. How RS managed 6th is amazing...must be that rocket stuck up his backside has been lit because hes facing unemployment.

RBR's claim that they will take 4th place in the constructors championship holds a lot of water now that Wurz is in a dismal 19th and Rosberg could only manage 16th.

Theres a 70% chance it will rain tomorrow so either way, we are in for a rippr of a GP tomorrow and im looking forward to LH getting the Number 1 for the next season when he wins tomorrows race!
