any particular reason you had to say the same bloody thing 6 times?

i cannot believe what depths this sport has plunged to.

its a f**king joke.

If mclaren were belted with a 100 million dollar fine and the best the FIA could do was come up with circumstantial info and this time Renault have been busted with more concrete evidence, if i were mac, id be screaming blue f**kin murder if they arent mightily caned.

renault will fold like a drunk and broke poker player.

which means the dirty sanchez aint going anywhere.

Renault are not in F1 to spend up big. Ghosn has specifically said that the program is in danger if they cant streamline costs. Renault brass wont have a bar of copping a rod on their backs the likes of which is bearing down on them at this very second.

They pull the pin faster than a german in ww2.

I am absolutely dumbfounded at how stupid this season has made me feel.

^^^^ sorry guys my browser had a spasm and 6 posted for some bloody reason

This Renault thing apparently started to come out in the McLaren investigation....its amazing how one thing leads to another

Im no Renault fan but 100+ mill will kill them and F1 cant afford to lose this team...Ghosn will pull the pin big time...he is shaky on spending this sort of coin anyway

Anyway the 6th will be very intersting

Also this evidence relates to the end of last season so will Alonso be stripped of world champoinship???

F1 needs to get back to racing on the track and leave all this hollywood crap for the soapies

LOL...Looks like Fisi may have a drive in 2008 after all...with Renault. Noone else will want to drive for them :D

What a wank, anyway. The whole IP debate is pretty grey. If its his personal work product...was he a contractor or employee...lol like this has been going on for years !

it won't be long before teams start trying to wipe employees minds when they leave the team (like the Ben aflik/Uma Therman movie, paycheck i think?).......well not realy ;)

Did you hear the rumours about moving from Albert Park to Phillip Island? They are thinking of developing PI into a track that can handle F1... atleast it will still be in VIC. Would be a crazy atmosphere, much like the MotoGP.

Well a lot of money has already been spent on new pit facilities and expansions at PI, i was told because the F1 teams want it to get its facilities and safety in line with FIA requirements so that during their winter they can come and test in our summer.

Ok, the hottest gossip at the moment is who will be McLarens no.2 driver.

Now that we are all well aware that it's a money and ego thing, why not put another driver in there who can sell merchandise, revive excitement and make people watch?

Why not put a Senna in the seat?

Bruno Senna (Ayrtons nephew) is currently in GP2, and doing OK. Not great mind you, but just OK. However, considering when leaving McLaren at the end of 1993, Ayrton Senna had said: "If you think I'm good, just wait until you see my nephew Bruno". That endorsement alone would raise interest.

Apparantly Gerhard Berger is his mentor though, so he may recommend Bruno avoid McLaren like the plague.

Still, to see another Senna in a McLaren, well, let's justy say I'd buy the merchandise, and I'm sure a lot of other people would too, and with the support from the team, we could see some excitement if he battles with Hamilton.

So, there's my vote.

Am I the only one amused by the fact that the mock up cover for this years Autocourse has a picture of an McLaren on the cover. Lewis's McLaren at that. Last time they did that was in 1983 with Prost in a Renault on the cover.

Oops.

THings to look for:

Honda to suffer reliability issues early in the season as they get used to a whole new car.

Ferrari to claim Brawn stole their technical documents, and was dobbed in by his local green grocer.

ITV to once again jump on the Button band wagon before relaising after a few races that not only was his old car a "dog" but Button isn't that good anyway, though expect him to be hailed as the next best talented after Hamilton if Lewis crashes out of a race.

Honda + CASH = Brawn on board. Ross wont give a sht about how much he can improve that shtbox Honda...he just will love watching his bank account...ching ching...mind you it wouldnt be real hard to improve on Honda's 07 effort

Todt was the smart little general (aka Napaleon) of the reds....there is a big chance of Ferrari slipping back into the bad ol days now

I'm sure you meant Napoleon, but anyways..

According to F1 live, Brawn's contracts stipulates a 'performance based earnings criteria', meaning if Honda don't perform, Brawn looses $$$'s, incentives to whack Barrichello and Button on 3 stoppers at the Hungaroring... Like Schumi 1998! :)

    • That sort of chaos is totally on brand for them. My girls are friends with them and have seen some total chaos at various festivals and shows.
    • There is an svs pb13 ultra on fb marketplace that I've been watching. Might have to actually try and hear some in the flesh. Same guy with the rel's also has a matching sub to my lcr speakers. Updated drivers, but isn't cheap.
    • Might as well just upgrade to a Tonewinner D6000... I think if it goes down to $1.5 to $1.6k I'm going to do it... Will work out which part of the couch I'm allowed to sleep on once I'm banned from the bedroom.   Same, however technology changes and these days those once amazing subs are just mediocre compared to a SVS, Velodyne and now (apparently) Tonewinner.   They're always closed, treble performance drops and I notice the speakers fall off axis quite easily. Compromise right? I ran the room calibration with the door closed etc. and you could tell the room EQ correction slapped on more mid and treble. With Yamaha's YPAO, you can't see what has been applied to the EQ with correction applied, where as the older Audessey it showed you the post correction EQ.
    • That sounds pretty good. I saw them play at work, once. They were pretty good. One of the band members was slightly inebriated and throw a t-shirt merch box into the crowd. After their set, they tried to recoup the t-shirts or payment. Was funny and sad at the same time.
    • And these are the fronts I'm using, they don't look like much but performer better than the previous Tannoy MX3 and the Wharfdale Modus 5.
