Too Bad Kimi didn't get past Hamilton on the track, he had a couple decent opportunities.. Like what they said about "Kimi's ice cool head".. L0L, I C E M A N!

Still, good pace by Kimi... Too bad for Massa at the start though...

Poor Webber and his reliability troubles.. Speaking of RBR, good to see DC take it to some of the younger guns, he may not have a pack leading car anymore, but he's got a few tricks up his sleeve.... Plus He'd know Silverstone like the back of his hand...

yeah DC certainly made a good effort of keeping alonso behind him.

am I the only one who thought hamiltons moves off the grid and into turn1 were a little bit...dare I say it...dirty? that was some pretty aggressive blocking and it certainly looked like 2 moves to me (one to the right, then one to the left). and when kimi was catching him at the end of the first stint hamilton became ultra defensive and started on some very negative driving (always up the middle of the track, claiming the inside way before the corner etc). I'm not saying he is mega dirty, but it just seemed a bit borderline to me. especially at that stage of the race, and this stage of the championship.

YES!!! dirty dirty dirty... reminded me of the old schumi chop. It'd be a brave decision to penalise him in his first apperance at the Brittish GP though. The weaving down the Hanger straight i didnt mind, he was just keeping kimi out of the tow... and considering Kimi was well behind him i dont really see how he could complain

lol. I have to watch my mouth here and tread carefully. having confessed that i'm a schuey fan and having seen him pull off far worse over the years I'm in danger of being labled a hypocrite but i still thought it was a suspect move. as they are constantly reminding us you are allowed 1 decisive, defensive move and hamilton took his, then decided he would like another one. but yeah it wasn't terrible, just what i'd call borderline.

Hamilton moved right at the start then "jinked" left. Id hardly call it an illegal move. I love the way the young guy protects his position, makes me think back to how aggressive he was in GP2. He was never "dirty". Schumacher was "dirty". WHEN hamilton wins this years world championship i will be able to say, "Now THATS how it shouldve been done!"

why the hell did they start both macs on hard tyres? That was a BIG mistake. If they hadve started Hamilton and Alonso on the softer option, which was obviously the tyre to be on ( witness the pace of both ferraris ) then it wouldve been a completely different story.

Ron dennis even admitted as much in the post breifing.

LOL

coz its real hard to say what they should've done AFTER the race is over....

As for DC making Massa work for th place, fair enough obviously as its for track position, but at the end of the day he'll only lose time defending against a car that is MUCH faster...if he lets him by without much of a fight massa will drive off into the distance and DC can set the best times he's capable of without watching his mirrors

good race,

suck massa stall the car, or else he would of easily finish 3rd or maybe even 2nd. Good work from Kimi  also great to see Ferrari back in form :domokun:

hamilton clearly couldn't drive through his problem as a more experience driver would have. If Ferrari says in this form i can see him clearly falling behide .

He would hate me for saying it but a Schumacher-esque performance from Kimi.....dominant performance. Especially his ability to smash out 100% mistake free laps when they are needed. He may have been "lucky" in Magny Cours but smashed everyone here. Was fuelled heavy went off at the last corner in quali and was still only a tenth or so behind Lewis.

Decent performance from Renault, seem to be making steps forward. Also from Honda as well. They weren't fast but they were 1 stopping. Strong performance by Alonso, I feel he got hit badly by traffic. Seeing Massa carve up the field was good viewing....however he had such a faster car I don't think it proves much. Kubica continues to impress.

All in all a good race!

I'll have to say, Mclaren has been ridiculously reliable this year. That being said, i don't care much for the mclaren drivers though, never been a Alonzo fan but at least he seems a bit more humble this year. Hamilton is just a big meh in my book, he just got incredibly lucky getting into a good team when everything was perfect and he comes out looking like a hero. In my eyes, the only thing he's proven is that Mclaren has a fast car this year, I'd like to see him prove his worth when the team struggles.

I've been rooting for Massa ever since the season started and he's been doing so well, too bad he's had a bit of bad luck. I'd still have to say the best thing about watching this British GP was him carving up everyone and getting a decent placing from starting in the pit lane. Kimmi was in almost the same situation a few Gp ago but he seemed like he didn't have any fighting spirit left in him when he was stuck in 5th? 6th? place. Massa is definitely my biggest F1 hero at the moment.

hey! if i was the Ronster i definitely wouldve started and finished the macs on softs!!

but...

im not.,, :domokun:

I so hope Hamitlon doesnt win. Not that i dont think he is a good driver etc Just sour grapes on my behalf that a kind from the red carpet walks straight into a top team in its prime and just drives the thing.

just walks straight in does he? Mclaren was unreliable and nowhere near the championships last year, or did you forget to watch the races?

so since he was 8 years old he has just walked into a Mac seat has he? i guess if it wasnt for otherworldly talent then hed be driving a spyker the wouldnt he?

i suppose Ron had no idea why he and mercedes of all companies invested so much time and resources on a kid who would one day just walk the red carpet and lead the world championship at his first attempt.

sheesh. why is this noob in the game at all?!

mate, im sorry to pick holes in your statement like this but bloody heck you havent a clue about the guy have you?

I think you find Kimi was the second man to pit of the front runners, he wasnt running heavy at all, both Massa and Alonso went 2 laps longer

And now that i think about it, anyone else notice that Alonso wasnt wearing that rediculous Mclaren sponsor jacket that they always have to wear in the post race interview? He's done that a couple of times now and you can really notice it... Some behind the scene's drama perhaps?

How can we not have a bloody clue?? the whole ITV gang wouldn't shut up about him. The whole of England would suck his cock when he demands it.

We all know of his acomplishments when he was in karting and GP2 etc etc and how his dad works 48 hours a day to finanace his racing career and come home and work another 48 hours at nighttime with no sleep. I think the reason why some people don't want to see him win is because we all like to see racers climb from the bottom to the top to prove himself. I'm pretty sure every racer in the paddock at the moment is thinking "Who the hell is this little shit coming in here taking the best car and coming out looking like a hero, give me a maclaren and I'll show you the same thing."

I really hope he doesn't get on the podium next round so that we can see how he handles it.

He hasn't worn it for the last couple times he has appeared on the podium. Don't think he had it on at Indy, for example.

Personally I hate the damn things. Much rather see the drivers in their grotty overalls who look like they have done something.
