I don't believe that Ferrari does (or ever has) give a sh!t about anything other than Ferrari. It was always the case, going back to the days when Enzo was still running the show. He made Macciavelli look like a rank amateur.

It is not restricted to Ferrari, Tom Walkinshaw was a master at playing silly games to his team's short term benefit & to motor sports long term detriment. But he went bankrupt, so maybe there is hope for us yet.

Why would Ferrari think otherwise? im pretty sure most teams if not all, will be thinking about number 1 and no one else. Everyone is in F1 to win, and you can't be thinking about other teams in your tring to win.

Also m3gtr, of course Montezemolo, think that way at the end of the day its all about winning and if Mac gets thrown out it will make Ferrari job a hell of alot easier. I dont see why its unsportsmanlike its like anyone coming out and saying i hope X team has a bad season so it makes our job easier. At the end of the day its all about winning and winning at any cost...

don't single out Ferrari for having that sort of attitude. as im pretty sure most f1 teams would feel that way

I used to follow McLaren because of DC, but always liked Benetton and Williams better. For this simple reason...

Scotland's Coulthard also revealed that he sympathises with Fernando Alonso this season, after the Spaniard walked into McLaren some nine years into Hamilton's long association with the team.

"When I was at McLaren they blatantly favoured (Mika) Hakkinen," Coulthard revealed.

"When they cheered my team-mate for beating me it tore me up. Ron's mantra is 'We exist to win' but it's not the way I do business," he added.

Ppl rave about Mika. No doubt a talent. But DC in my eyes there is no way he was better then DC. DC could have won the WDC if he was more arrogant and rallied the team/politics etc etc. Buts thats the reason why i like DC...he just does what he does and walks away from plane crashes :P

The point I am making (or trying to) is that there is a difference between competing & acting in your own short term self interest but to the detriment of the sport. It is sport & however much people may have invested in it, winning at any cost should never be an option. Near on all the other teams understand this & conduct themselves accordingly.

You can single out Ferrari for it as their track record contains a litany of such actions. To use but one example - who is the only team running cigarette advertising despite all the remaining teams forgoing the income as per their agreement?

Thats where you wrong Michael...winning is NOT about winning at any cost..

Im sure you know Mac would never do something like this to get a championship belt..

Ferraris antics over the years have been way over underhanded.

its such a massive shame because this is the best championship ive seen in ages, with a huge influx of drivers with huge talent and what really saddens me is that Ferrari, with what started out as just a disgruntled ferrari employee, has pushed like hell to have this escalate into a full blown legal battle.

Ferrari knows they cant beat Mac on the track so theyre fighting dirty to get their hands on the prize.

I have no respect for their behaviour. Really, how can you explain their actions? The FIA is pro ferrari. The world council has more ferrari reps than any other team. FIA, as PS put it best is Ferrari International Assistance.

Looks like its not going to go well for McLaren, also looks like FA is more focuses on his race this weekend than the team http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3213_2726313,00.html

I can understand where he is coming from... only a few points away from leading the championship, i think winning will be number one on his mind and team a far second

The German newspaper Bild reports that the Frenchman's relationship with Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo is not good.

It is also claimed that Ross Brawn may have signed to return to Ferrari in 2008, on the condition that Todt has departed.

I hope Ross Brawn does come back but i think its just a rumour

Michael think about it. If it goes bad for McLaren, FAs no show will be damning. What if they get kicked out? Where will Fa's efforts go? down the toilet i tell you.

It just shows you how little he cares for the well being of the team and more about his own personal agendas, even though hes been asked to attend and give evidence. Hes kinda at the centre yet hes not there!!! wheres his sense of dignity and honor the selfish bastard??

big hand for LH who's doing his part to support the team at this difficult time...

very true.... makes you think FA knows something that we don't know. maybe he has already made up his mind to leave McLaren at the end of the year and head back to Renault.

Person i think he should be supporting the team but as you said doesnt look like he gives a shit! LH is doing the right thing sticking by the team even with the chance they could be ban nxt year

on a side note i hope we get some tv coverage about what happens, But not likely, anyone know what foxtel channel does the motorsport news?

cant say i do Michael...

F1 news coverage is thin on the ground unless you live in europe...

its funny. FA is going to ditch Mac cause, really when you put all the pieces together, a certain LH is scaring the wits out of him in his rookie year. FA knows he wont get preferential treatment there and i kinda know he was expecting a schumacher-esque team domination No1 policy to be inforced for him too. Im almost certain he actually thought LH was going to be his lapdog as RB was to MS. RD doesnt operate that way. Altough DC may have a thing or two to say about that.

So hes going back to renault?? whoa, a midfield team. Talk about taking a step BACKWARDS. is he daft? The problem with FA is that he refuses to accept LH is just as quick than if not quicker than him and hed rather jump sip than have to deal with it. Its sad and its a cop out but thats the way he really is.

He had nothing to worry about with GF...he was shades quicker than GF almost every step of the way. But now he has LH to deal with and he cant handle the guys speed. I reckon hes insulted. Id be feeling the same way. Do my head in every time this rookie outqualifies me on a track hes never been to before and that in his rookie year!! enough to send you packing to the orange and white renault camp where even then his place isnt secure..

Pique Jr is waiting in the wings dont forget...

McLaren excluded from World Championship

Thursday 13th September 2007

McLaren have been excluded from the 2007 and 2008 Formula One World Championships.

The Woking team, who faced the World Motor Sport Council for the second time in Paris today after new evidence came to light, were found guilty of using Ferrari's information in this year's Championship.

And the punishment is their exclusion from this year and next year's World Championships.

More to follow...

What will happen to f1 now?

Im a Ferrari fan but this win just doesnt feel right :) The fight for the drivers championship was great now its turns to a one horse race... i think alot of fans will be turn away i know that unless the race is good to watch i will. no fun in watching Ferrari quality in 1 and 2 and finish in 1 and 2 :worship:

Planet F1 have a knack for over exaggerating their words...

they arent as reliable as pitpass or grandprix.com

yeah after i posted that i check pitpass and they said the reports are unconfirmed,

http://www.f1-live.com/f1/en/index.shtml <-- they have posted something similar but you need to be a member to get access to it

more from planet -f1

According to reports on the BBC, the FIA's World Motor Sport Council has proposed that McLaren are excluded from the 2007 and 2008 World Championships.

However, the corporation claims that the exact nature of the punishment which will be meted out is still being discussed.

As such, Lewis Hamilton's World Championship bid may yet be rekindled, with McLaren expelled from the Constructors' Championship but both Alonso and Hamilton permitted to compete for the Drivers' title.

The FIA has confirmed that a definitive verdict is now imminent.

if this is true, atlest we can still see the WDC fought out till the end.

edit f1-live, confirms ,the ban is unconfirmed http://www.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/new...913180240.shtml

Compromise right? I ran the room calibration with the door closed etc. and you could tell the room EQ correction slapped on more mid and treble. With Yamaha's YPAO, you can't see what has been applied to the EQ with correction applied, where as the older Audessey it showed you the post correction EQ.
