Hey guys,

I was talking to a friend of mine about engineering different parts of the car to make them legal... My suspension is already too low and the rims i want to get will also be illegal... can you guys help give me some info about all this?

Thanks,

Cas.

More info is needed mate.

What sort of suspension do you have? Coilovers? Lowered springs?

And why are the rims illegal? over the 2 inch size that is allowed?

I think you will not be able to get anything engineered as it is ilegal to have rims that are over the 2 sizes leeway.

And your car has to be higher then 100mm at the lowest point. So if you have a low exhaust and thats the lowest part on your car u have to clear 100mm to that point.

Im pretty sure thats right. If not then you will soon find out when I get corrected.

Hope that helps anyway

Personally dont bother.

A mate knows someone who spent 2g+ to get his teins engineered so that they will pass regency.

Even when he did this the engineers at regency knocked them back -even though they had been approved. 2K wasted.

You are better of keeping the car stockish (at least go for 17" rims) as u will have nothing but hassles from police the rest of the time u own the car.

some other thing that isnt perfect. a perfect car does not exist. even straight from manufacture, some cars are not perfect. so a ten year old car is never going to be perfect, thus regency will pick on you and get you to come back no matter how hard you try. that is unless you are lucky the first time.
