I haven't heard anything about dodgy gearboxes.......

Do you know where I can find some more info on them?

The only bad things I heard were the understeer & the brakes.

I was going to get one too, I still like them, but gearboxes are a huge problem - and expensive at that. Apparently once you go over the standard power that's when problems arise, and if you want to drag it, well then you'll be in a world of hurt. I'll try and find some backup for you!

PS I'm not bagging GTIR's, just be aware!

Any car with 4WD will have some sort of trouble with their gearboxes. But saying that, I reckon the GTi-R has a better box than a WRX.

The gtir is a great car. its also been known as the true baby godzilla.

You pull off very very quick times in them easily.

I have never heard of a gearbox gone BOOM!

Thats rare. But you can make any cars box go boom.

Cereal I fyou like the car at the end of the day like me then get it.

Its a great car and fast and has quad throttle bodies.

And it has had some great reviews!

I'm still pretty keen to get one (Maybe even this weekend), but I'll definately make sure the gearbox isn't about to drop out.......

the gtir is just mums pulsar with a go fast hardware. the actual car design was not designed with performance in mind. However they are cool cars and the last few track days ive been to stock gtir's have killed the mildly down up wrx's, s15's etc... round the circuit. Good on ya for getting something different! just stimulating conversation.
