Because the valves are open further per camshaft degree with the high lift version it would breath better .

In the US they like to plot cam profiles and show duration at 50 thou lift , if you could overlay the two graphs the difference is rather obvious .

The down side is that the valve train becomes noisy because the lift ramps are more agressive . Also because valve accelerations become greater is is more important to use suitable valve springs to control the valves innertia and overcome valve crash or bounce . Also you MUST avoid spring coil bind at ALL costs because otherwise it will destroy itself .

Also expect the valve seats to last longer with the lower lift/weaker springs. Long term, the high lift/strong springs pull the valves back into the head slowly.

If you don't think you'll have the car for 50-100,000 k's then don't worry.
