Munkyb0y
its spelt 'aerial' some 33's have a switch on the dash to make it go up and down manually. mine just goes up when tuner is switch on, and down when it's off or on cd mode. BAMR33
Mine does both, I promise you not having work is better as there is nothing decent on the radio anyway. Mine goes up and down 5 time times in just starting the car and it gets damn anoying. RANDY
lol, bam! My switch just gives me half-heigh or full-height when it is already coming up. If yours isn't working, i'd suggest that either it's not powered (check wire in the boot, in the rear quarter) or it's not hooked up to your head unit properly. It should go to a wire on your HU labelled "power cont" or "p.cont" or "antenna cont".. something like that. But NOT "remote", as i've heard a lot of people run it to that. If you set it up correctly, it should only ever come up when your turn your HU over to the tuner/radio. On CD it should bring it down, and the button on the dash has very clearly pictured a half triangle and full triangle. Thus, full heigh and half height. It won't make your antenna go completely down, nor will it make it go completely up if the HU is not on radio. RANDY
Also check fuse... not sure where it is, but '33s have fuses in the boot next to the battery, and under the bonnet in a black box. (of doom!) EDIT: and where your right-knee is when driving. Pop the little cover off. There is a handle kind of thing on it for you to pull on. Basti
... the button on the dash has very clearly pictured a half triangle and full triangle. Thus, full heigh and half height. oh damn is that what that does? i have been wondering ever since i got the car. i thought it was some kinda superboost mode thing like in men in black. bin too afraid to touch it so far...dont have any convienient tunnels that i can drive on the ceiling of around my area. RANDY
lol! Jets that give you anti-gravity! You probably COULD reuse the button for some kind of DIY dual-boost button! But you'll probably get triangular puffs of smoke from your exhaust. ;o) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/149665-aerial/#findComment-2794856 Share on other sites
R3LOAD
Hmm mine stays up even when i have the HU switched to CD, does this mean its wired to the HU incorrectly or is it just farked? raz0r$harP.UK
Hmm mine stays up even when i have the HU switched to CD, does this mean its wired to the HU incorrectly or is it just farked? Some headunits don't have a power antenna function, if yours is one of these then it will stay up like you described.
