strutto - i think skyline33 means resetting the knock sensors, not the ecu....

I could be wro... wro.. not right... But I thought the ecu backed the timing off based on the inputs from the knock sensor...

ie: over time, if it senses detonation, it will record a timing setting in the ECU and all the maps will run slightly less timing.

I don't understand how a physical knock sensor could be reset. It's like one wire isn't it??

Please explain
