Ok I'm buying a Series II R33 GTS-T Skyline very soon and I have just been checking out what sort of mods I am able to do to it. Currently the only significant mod that it has is a cat-back exhaust. I know that to get the exhaust working properly it'll need:

Exhaust

-----------

- 3" High-Flow Catalytic Converter

- 3" Dump Pipe

- 3" Front pipe? / dump pipe?

I am not sure about the front pipe but I have seen them on eBay by FlyingPerformance and they reckon that it has a dump pipe & a front pipe in one? but it doesn't look the same to a normal dump pipe... bit confused on that..

Unsure of exactly how this works?

Intake

-----------

- New 3" Pod Filter (I have read that Apexi might be my best choice) + Gasket + Securing Kit

(I have seen these kits on ebay, but it doesnt include the adapter? but it does include the gasket)

- CAI box / airbox for a Pod Filter

About the airbox I have seen a few different designs and I'm currently looking at Maxx's design but I don't really know if the different materials make much differences such as the more expensive Carbon Fibre of which is sold on Unique Autosports ($300) and the plastic ones which are also on there but there are even cheaper plastic ones on eBay. Does anyone know if the material makes a lot of difference?

Also to do with the airbox Maxx's allows you to use the stocko snorkel which is good for now but if I wanted to upgrade to a FMIC I might run into a bit more trouble. Has anyone been through this issue? Will he send the extra plastic part to cover the opening?

Also once a FMIC has been installed with the CAI box and the intercooler wont fit with the snorkel it will need to be removed or 'moulded'. But perhaps it would save all the drama and get a custom snorkel that goes runs from your front bumper into your CAI box? Does anyone know about this, I'm not sure if this is the right snorkel but this is off Unique Autosports in the picture. It's a little bit expensive $250 and the snorkel doesn't seem to be long enough, maybe it is, I'm not sure.

Intercooler & Boost Controller

-----------------------------------

- Hybrid Intercooler Kit (researched to have been best value for money/performance)

I'm not sure what to choose for a boost controller as there are many options. My originally idea was to have a dual stage boost controller so I could just switch from high to low boost in the cabin. But I had read somewhere that mechanical boost controllers spike and peak a lot more than electrical because they obviously correct themselves, and electrical are more expensive. But I have read that replacing the wastegate with an R32 wastegate has the spring to set the boost to 10psi and the source that I got this from said that the standard turbo shouldn't be set any more than 10psi, though I have seen a lot of people set theirs to 12/14psi, any response to this??

Fuel Pump & ECU

---------------------

- Apexi SAFC (as a PowerFC won't work on an Automatic)

- Fuel Pump (unsure what to go for? maybe 600HP? Perhaps BOSCH??)

Sort of uncertain with the fuel pump but if anyone could fill me in with some info there it would be awesome. Just to note that I'm not doing all of these mods at one direct time, just trying to understand everything a little more clearly but I may be doing these mods in the sets that I have created, in that order from top to bottom.

I have placed a fair few pictures in just so that it can aid in what I'm trying to express if I haven't said something correctly or I have said something wrongly, I'm not an expert just still learing :P. Anyway, I hope some people can help me out :) and even if I don't get any replies I needed to write down my thoughts on everything. Thanks guys ;) and thanks for reading.
