Am in my the 3rd year of a Pastry/Baking apprenticeship at Burswood, 18 more months & I will be qualified, and possibly moving overseas to work, depending on what I feel like in 18 months I guess lol.

Am getting a 33 instead of saving for a house because of this reason, and look forward to meeting some people from here eventually. Bye! :headspin:

Work sales for JMills Distribution which is an IT wholesale distributor, I used to work for RTV Computers aswell. Yeah bloody IT industry. Not specialised in anything, basically a jack of all trades but for my interest I want to really to develop to high level network administration.

All these IT specialists on here, someone show me how to really make a decent FTP server on Linux (Knoppix Debian) which i've finally got around to having a go at after 7 years. Yes too busy being a lame windows junkie.

Also a decent PHP setup so I can make so websites.

Who was it working at the DoiR??? I also have completed a Marketing Diploma at Tafe and was applying like mad to get a job there and never got a reply.

Names Adam, Managed Westside Car Audio in Cannington for about two years then Managed Austin Computers in Myaree for a year. Closed up that shop then worked in Austin Cannington for a year. Broke off from Austin last november and started up my own Computer Shop "Computer Force" in Vic Park with a mate. Starting to happen for us now so watch out DELL!!! We are comming to get ya!!

Diploma in Internet and Networking, JL Audio Technician Certificate.

JXL Ive got an account with you guys I think..

Gee, arent alot of us a bunch of square eyes.

My names in my info.. (just being difficult :upurs: )

I do fly in/fly out desktop support at Mount Keith - WMC Nickel Operations.

I would rather be a fireman or something active/outdoors anyday! But... this job pays well and i get a sh*t load of time off.

Apprentice Mechanic at a dealer in Ozzie park, earn **** all :)

The labour rate is $120 or thereabouts an hr, and even the fully qualified guys only get about 10% of that :S Hopefully the skills shortage will do something good and drive wages up (tho apprentice money would still be shit, but not that bothered really)

Was doing Aircraft maintainence at tafe last year, but after finishing it decided I would really rather work on cars for the rest of my life than planes, and there was alot more paperwork and liability crap, wasn't a fan of that.

Another 31 coming soon for me :)

my name is Scott

I used to work for the DVG morley city Nissan in the parts dept

i now have moved on to better (more professional ) company.. still in the automotive industry.

i now work for John Hughes Group in the parts dept (Mitsubishi, hyundai, daewoo and VW)

oh and i still get nissan parts at cost

I think skylines are alot like pcs, in that theres a ton of mods that can be done to customize skylines to no end, same goes for pcs.

the attraction for customizing and modding for both. although not the case for everyone i guess.

    • If you are fine with China turbos, Maxpeedingrods makes a bolt on turbo. Ive had mine for two summers now and it seems to be holding up ok.
    • Howdy all Im in a little predicament and wondering what everyone’s thoughts are? I’ve had my long block rebuilt and am in the market for a turbo due to my old one having metal shavings from crank bearings (cause of rebuild) go throughout the turbos oil lines and there wheel has a little play. I’m not really aiming for any power, just trying to keep it as oem as possible, but I can’t find a turbo that’s built for the stock ecu or find something that would be a standard replacement. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions
    • How's everyone going? Just a shout-out introducing myself. I'm James, I live on the north side of Brisbane. I bought an R33 that had been left to rot in someone's front yard for 14 years. Apparently, it has immobiliser/fuel issues. Long story short, it's suffering from a seized engine, plus whatever else turns up once it runs. The car is pretty good considering it sat for so long. It pretty much died after being imported. It has a bunch of Jap parts and a full Top Secret body kit. It's painted Fiat Turchese Festival, or aqua blue if you're not French. Another project to throw money at!
    • So the clockspring is responsible for the indicators cancelling on their own? I thought that was the function of that white thing in the center (any idea what it's called?)
    • Can you log IAT? Whilst WTA coolers have their place, doing any sort of sustained run is not one of them There are fixes that slow down the heat soak, like ice boxes, which don't last that long, and interchillers, which are fairly expensive, up grades to the WTA cooling radiator, which may require a bigger pump, and upgrades to the reservoir size,  and upgrades to the cooling fans, but, it all still heat soaks, and takes ages to come down in hot weather  For a turbo, that isn't locked into WTA like my PD blower is, can you not possibly swap to a nice air to air intercooler????, it would be better for sustained runs then, and have alot less things that could go wrong in my opinion
