I have been given a bosch 070 fuel pump. it is apparently rated at 130L @ 5 Bar and given a 280hp rating. The bosch 910 has the same specs with 130L @ 5 bar and has a 380hp rating.

Does this NOT make sense to anybody else??

how can two different pumps with the SAME flow rates be rated at different HP??

I was going to put it into my R33 for a fuel upgrade. But now i don't think so...

can anybody explain this...

Just from personal experience, I used the 910 for some time and was never a problem. Be aware that some people take the anti flow back device off to get more flow. This should support up to 260kw.

I still think the 910 is too small and should only be used as a direct replacement only.I mean to support standard power levels. If you take the flow back fitting off you will never be able to start it first time, needs three primes to start.Ok if not in a hurry to get going.

Do not hesitate to get a tomei or Nismo fuel pump. Direct fit and quiet. Will support three times standard power.Comes with own bracket. Old out, new in.No wires to change as has new factory wire and plugs. From now on everything I buy will be nismo. :)
