This has happened to me recently....Can anyone shed any light?????

manwhore, i think he is talking about the rubber strip that sits between the plastic clipped on bit and the windscreen.

in relation to the rubber strip, wait till its a warm day so its soft, then stretch it out and glue it back in place with epoxy or any type of glue that should hold.

mine cracked so i got mine replaced at a windscreen shop, it was not an original part as nissan told me that you can only get the rubber strip complete with the plastic part, which was more than $200.

the windscreen shop used a jaguar part, they glued it in for me and charged $40.

Is this what your talking about?

If so I fixed it with a rubber strip I got at clark rubber, they call it a mudguard flare protector or similar costs bugger all.
