R32 Gts-t Conversion From Lock Diff To Lsd

Hey guys,

Ive got an R32 that used to have a lock diff (on import), but was converted to lsd before I bought it. all i know about it is that the person that converted payed approx $500 at a shop.

There is a whining noise from the rear of the car that is there when the car is moving and increases pitch as the car moves faster. Do yous know wot this noise is? repair costs? does it have anything to do with the above. Also, for $500 (installed) the installed diff was wot sort of condition, yous rekon?

It's quite possible a second hand diff centre was put in there.

Have you got oil in the diff? Possibly needs to have the backlash adjusted.

ive got this problem and its occured to me that it could be the oil as the whine is not always there.

what backlash? and how do you adjust it?

same problem, diff does the same whinding noise. backlash?????
