ive done a track day and ad drag night and many oldroads and its staying the same lol

i got quoted $900 for a re-condition diff. I found that abit over-priced, so i just found my self another diff center, from the same model car, in my case a 32 gts-4. Was a bitch gettin out because theres a couple fiddly bolts to get off, and other shit u have to get of just to have better access to the bolts. But it was well worth it seeing i only paid $280 for the center.

Now i dont hear anything.

Hey I have heard of a band aid solution to fix diff whine. Someone told me once that if you put a bit of saw dust in the diff, that this will take up that bit of slop and reduce the whine.

Ah i don't recommend this and I have no idea what permanent damage it will cause. If I had a spare diff that I could waste I might try this just to see what happens.

Shit 900 for a reco? I just picked up an unused nismo 1.5 way for that which comes with new bearings and output shafts and seals in addition to the center. It was a very lucky find as i only started looking for one a week ago.

my case is similar, it onli seems to get louder after i dump then clutch and then after a little while it goes quiet again so i dont think its a major prob at the moment.
