I am looking to rid my 34 sedan of the nasty bus-like suspension it is currently sitting on, want to fit it with some coilovers so i can drive it round on its arse but still not have a chopped-springs effect suspension. I dunno much about coilovers ey, have read around and found a few names of coilovers but don't know what they uniquely offer with respect to each other

any help would be great

I'm not sure if the 4 door R34 GTT are any different BUT I would assume there's only 1 varient.

Tein Super Streets for the ER34 are the same fit for coupe and sedan.

Only difference is Jap Spec and Aus Spec Super Streets. They both have identical spring rates 5K fronts, 4K rears. The Aus spec ones are revalved for OZ roads apparently. I have the Jap spec ones and so do a few others with 34s on here and they are firm but still comfortable and IMO are as close to stock suspension comfort as you will get with a coilover.

10 kilo coilovers would be 560 pound i think?? im going with bc br coilovers in an 8kg/6kg combo. at first i was skeptical that they'd be to stiff but after talking to lots of people its seems they'll be fine and they have 32 damper settings to make them as hard or as soft as you want. :)

Thanks, mate. My previous Tein Monoflex had 780lbs spring rates with 15 damping via the EDFC. I guess that's around 14kg according to this:

I had them on my 350z and loved them for the track but they annoyed the sh1t outa me when I had to drive more than 15 minutes on the road.

jeeez screw 15kg springs. I had to drive 400k's in a day once with my old JIC's and I vowed never to do it again. would have been wild on the track but screw that every day. I have herd of go carts that would have more suspension travel than that. you would need to almost drive with a mouth gaurd in so you didn't loose all your teeth. (ps basing every thing off my exp driving on WA B roads)

To make matters worse I had solid bushing in a lot of places! LOL.

Here's a pic of my 'Zetto' cooling down.

I've been talking back and forth with Gary (I forget his username) regarding ER34 coilovers. He's very detail oriented which I respect and enjoy.
