WTF-33R
Edit: Seems like you got a 4 door.. Could be a totally different story then.. hmmm Yes that seemed to be the problem. After looking at a 33 S2 Coupe the washer bottle on them is where the battery is on my 4 Door, and my washer bottle is under the battery. Anybody else put a FMIC kit on an S2 sedan? if so what did you do about the washer bottle. skylinegtts
ok finally finished the install today. for the hole under the battery i didnt really care about the holes being flush so i just made a big hole to suit... although its still touching a tiny bit. that same pipe also touches my powersteering lines (not A/C). i also had to trim my fan blades aswell as the end of the pipe that connects to the BOV pipe as that was too far forward. the other cut was also the big oval in the original hole. i was able to onli hack away at my front bar only a little. i didnt follow the instructions coz i didnt want to cut my reo bar, in the end i mounted it onto the reo at the top and the side tanks seem to rest on it a little, but it is rock solid does not move an mm. i think this is part of my reason why the other pipe hits the P/S pipe. as its too far back. all in all i could feel the difference today and for the price u pay for this kit it is quite good. benl1981
Thinking of buying one of these. I see that you have to cut the reinforcement bar. On a series 1 R33 with a stock bar can you just mount it behind there without any visual trimming of the plastic on the front bar. I realise the air flow might not be the best but should still be better than the smaller SMIC's. It would be good if it came with black silicon joiners..I'm thinking of spraying the whole kit black so it isn't visible. So the consensus is that these kits are quite good? benl1981
thanks - I'll check it out. Any comments regarding the Serries 1 bar. Can you just trim the reo but leave all the plastic so it looks factory at the front? Anybody done this. Did you just mode it on the inside so from outside it looks stock... Lost
If anyone is interested, I have a qualified mechanic friend looking for work at the moment. He has just moved back from QLD to Sydney just this week. Mentioned that if I can get a few people together, he would fit for $250 per kit. PM me if you are interested and I will forward details onto him. I'm hoping to get mine done too. He previously worked for Nissan in addition to other performance work, Turbo's and V8's.
