PFC HC Det Indic

For all the PFC HC oweners. I am wondering what people are getting as far as Detonation Indications. When in peak hold it can read a figure of 17. Dont really know what this means. maybe someone can throw some light on the situation. The last two times I saw my Mechanic I forgot to ask.

17 is fine. Basically that's just engine noise.

So long as you're below 60 then there's nothing to worry about, however, even a knock of 60 doesn't necessarily mean the engine is pinging.

17 is damn good.

It's a baseline indicator of knock. It's not completely as you get different knocks for different conditions. I'm sure it goes up in the rain and it'll read high when the engine is cold.

But I get a 11-12...

But I can often drive for ages and not get more than 1 (???).
