I have just purchased a cheap Chinese made intercooler for my R33 Series 2. Looking at where it is meant to go, I seem to have a sensor about 300 from the top of the reinforcement bar and just to the drivers side of center - this will be in the way of teh new intercooler. I am concerned that this may be an airbag sensor.

Does anyone know what it is? Is it safe to move? (the mount is spot welded on so it will be a pain to move).

if its the same as the r32 then its the ambient temp sensor for when you press AMB on the climate control display. safe to move or disconnect.

you might also have to re-locate your horns. i placed mine onto the thing that holds the bonnet latch

you will also have to cut your front bumper if its a standard GTST item and the bumper reinforcement bar (reo) might also get in the way depending on the intercooler style and how you choose to install it

also, if you do a search for "+FMIC +install" then you will find heaps of helpful information :nyaanyaa:

best of luck,

Warren
