Their basic tune, which is done in like 2-3 hours, is exactly what it is - basic tune.

the ig tune which Im getting has the 2 cold start tests n tune and check ups, also getting fuel pump fitted which threw the times back a bit.

and I also get the check ups later on and when I do more mods, its a simple - on the dyno n fix up

comes with a warranty too :)

Whats the cost like if you, say add another mod and, need it "re-tuned". I assume it would be cheaper as the previous tune suits the cars setup and your only changing the air fuel ratio most of the time (for say air filters, or dump pipes) rather than the ignition timing etc. Or am I talking crap because I have no idea? :P

Strange that they're telling you it needs a cold start test...

It's a PFC. No need to do anything with the cold start, seriously, there's nothing to be done at all. If it was a Microtech or other then thats fair enough.

Mine has been tuned by Yavuz at Unigroup, hes a great guy and the prices are probaly the best around locally, but unfortunately he only takes payment by cash which isnt very convenient for me (I like to put on credit card then pay off), my car goes into CRD this week for a turbo and all supporting mods upgrade so I will report back on how that tune goes too.

The FC does have a cold start set-up and to do a decent tune with substantial mods the vehicle really does need to be kept over night, Anyone with half an idea can get the cold start right with one atempt so two nights is a bit extreme.

Unigroup are good,

CRD are good as too are Just engine management.

Depends soely on your budget and how far your willing to travel really.

I ran on the base PFC maps for over a month. Started perfect everytime.

My HITMAN tune only took 90 mins.....but I did already install it meself prior. I think he also loaded a template map from his data-logit and modified it though which would have made things alot quicker

    • It's the adhesive holding the ceramic wheel to the shaft the fails on 90% of them.
    • Foreign debris, physical shock, boost leak, could be anything honestly. The danger in taking all the timing out of a tune/hitting the R&R corner is that even if the engine doesn't detonate your turbo is taking a lot of abuse from high EGT. Also, even if nothing goes wrong it is a journal bearing that is spinning at 100k RPM on boost. Eventually it goes through enough cold start/pressure cycles to wear it out.
    • I kinda accidentally saw this, and was interested, but It actually seems to replaces the whole center computer, using the existing screen and buttons. AND it may only be for a G37 and not compatible with a Japanese 370. So its not for me, but someone else may be interested to look into it. Its about $680USD. If I am understanding it right, it basically replaces/installs and android pc that integrates with the existing screen. But I could be wrong. https://gromaudio.com/vline/ The video I first saw was the following, with very little and unclear details.     Even if your not interested in the system, the video on their site was pretty comforting in showing how simple the whole centre comes out

    • I’m with Shannon’s for all 5 of our cars. Agreed values seem fair, premium price is okay. ($210 ish a month, all comprehensive).  Have claimed once with them for a not at fault claim with another car where my car had no damage. Was one call after the incident and an email after. Deemed not at fault so premium didn’t go up either.    I have called up and spoken with people who are not familiar with certain cars and didn’t agree with me on value or let their personal vehicle preferences effect the call. But called back later and got someone else who was more agreeable.
