as the topic states just wondering if there are any mechanical differences between a type M and just a regular gtst r32? like brakes suspension etc?

or is it just the looks

I dont mean to be rude, but this topic has been done to absolute death, just about every gts-t is a type m. The primary difference is the 4 pot capilers front and 2 pot rear... the rest is interior but honestly is you search this topic you will see it has been covered endlessly. Also some ppl confuse type m with m-spec... completely different.

the type m, was the top of the range r32 gts-t.

it has four piston front calipers, 2 piston rear calipers, leather sterring wheel, and 16x6.5in alloy wheels.

thers a few diff between the year of the r32 aswell.

the early models have diff seats, diff plastic console surround, blue guages...

thats the thing i dont have a type M and mine's got 4 piston front calipers and 2 piston rear calipers,

so is m spec and type M different?

M-spec is related to GTR's.. what makes you think you haven't got a type m then??

There is a thred on this forum called Nissan FAST.. if you pm whover it is on their or post up your VIN/ENGINE # they will give you the info on your car like build date etc (like a screen dump from the database). Also in one of the sections like on mine it will say GTST.M. I'd be suprised if it doesnt have the "M" on yours if you have 4 pot calipers..

i just thought that the type m's were the ones with the kit on them, anyway thx for the help guys

Nah, common mistake... mine didnt come with that kit but it is a type m. im sure if u get your car through fast you'll find that its a type m also. A non type-m is rare as, almost all of the ones in aus are type m
