anyone ELSE recommend any products to use to make my car shimmer?

:)

I recommend FW1 racing formula. Does your windows, rims, body work and engine bay, and anything else you may want to wax... :) Seriously good stuff i tell you.

Hey guys, here's an updated list for you for our position at the show.

Due to smaller expected turn outs for clubs they have moved us to a bigger position (42) We are also known as Skylines Australia, not the Japan/Australian Extras. See attached, hope you're all looking forward to it! :) Oh have also made a banner as I said I would, not sure where it will go/hang could drape it over my bonnet lol!

Perhaps get a couple of long pieces of timber/dowel/steel pipe tied into each end and jam them into the ground near the front of our area?

Also, relating to the 'Marshalling', is there events cars are entered into for prizes or something, or is this just the term given to directing and parking your car?

Terminal and I will be at the show at 8am, to see if we can stake down our area so to speak. As long as everyone else turns up before 9am, should be fine. Probably a good idea to cruise from the museum to the show. Take some pics too :)

So is this the final list?

I think it's safe to assume Leech will not be attended due to his previous comment of being in NZ.

Only me and one other person with a R31 will turn up. Apparently, it's too early in the morning to go for a drive.

I will have to confirm later tonight as the car is still in at the workshop getting new injectors and a tune. There may be a possiblilty that I may not get her back til next week. ;)

Cheers,

Brad

Sorry guys, you'll have to count my gtr out(the reason is outlined below) :)

I was really looking forward to this, I will however come along and take some photos though.

I have been right royally screwed over by an un-named fuel injector supplier!

Basically(or not so basic),

I ordered some new injectors. I thought they were the wrong ones when I got them, so I rang the supplier and quoted the part number they had sent and quoted the part number i thought they should have sent

The problem was that the right part number was on the invoice but the wrong part was sent(I did not have the invoice), but the really infuriating thing was that I had actually quoted the part they had sent but instead of listening to me in the first instance, the supplier got defensive straight away and they black and blue(quite rudely too) that they were right.

So...... I went ahead and cut the plugs and fittings(as per instructions from supplier, I rang about that too) off the old ones, dropped the new injectors in and took the car to the workshop(Tuesday) to get tuned.

Got a call from the workshop and they agreed with me that they thought that the injectors were wrong too. After bouncing many calls between the workshop and the supplier, the supplier finally admitted that they had sent the wrong injectors. They wanted me to send back the first lot before sending out the right ones, but after giving some CC details they sent out the right ones which the good lads at the workshop fitted up for me today, I thought all was good til I found out that the supplier hadn't sent out the fittings or plugs for the new proper injectors!!!

So......my baby is still sitting at the workshop with new injectors(the right ones) bolted in but with no way of running the car til the supplier sends the fittings.

Oh, and to add insult to injury they were going to try and charge me for the new fittings@!@!

BTW a huge thanks goes out to the boys at Trojan, they have shown great patience this week.

End of rant....

Cheers from a not so happy Brad.

Yay, I'll be coming with Sumanator(James) in his R31.

    • It was roughly 3.5 hours.    car went in around 11:00 and I was done around 2:30 He did the initial runs, install the BC and then Nistune install and tune.  The best part was sitting in the lobby and hearing the skyline on full throttle at the dyno 😂😂
    • Glad it all went smooth. How long did the tuning process take?
    • Yeah that was kind of the same feedback my tuner gave me.  the boost tee is until I can sort out my plan for the electronic boost controller and what I’d get, where I’d mount the dash etc.  I’m happy with this until I can figure it out. Not a big fan of the A-pillar gauges. I’d like to get a clean install of the boost gauge - something digital like GFB.  Something like that might fit neatly where the ashtray is and look clean. I feel like replacing the OEM triple gauge is a bit extreme for a weekender like my skyline. And it’s not making crazy power to need all the additional sensors/gauges.
    • I'm about to swap my box to Tremec T56 Magnum F & initially thinking of re-using my DCS twin plate (can get it re centred for the bigger spline) but it's been called out the box will be noisy (rattle) as the clutch is unsprung.  So I'm doing as much research as possible. I'm not so worried about holding the power as I'll go the track version which on paper will hold the maybe 1000hp I make. It's the longevity I worry about. DCS told me they don't use a sprung centre as it's just something that can break. The uni clutch has a very complicated sprung centre. Any one had or heard about any issues with it failing? Thanks in advance.
    • Auto is at least 10% (from my real, actual experience with different torque converters and manual on the same setup) ~185rwkw at 11.6psi (peak!) is entirely what one would expect without a FMIC or anything else on the intake, it does bleed off towards the higher RPM so it's what, 9psi there? Note: There is nothing that can be done about this with a manual boost tee. If you want to hold it steady and gain more top end, well - You will need electronic boost control.....
