ok as most of you guys know im not the smartest guy here talking about mechanical skills, so do inform me if this is normal but still tell me what it is...

ok basically, if after a while i havent used my car as in 4hrs or something, basically when it is well and truely cold,

when i go to start it, it makes a sound like its powering upon acc

its more of an electrical sound you would expect from external fuel pumps, but there usually from the rear of the car, this sound comes from under the bonet, i cant pin point it, because i usually forget about it, and when i hear it, its not as simple as turn key again...

thanks in advance for your help

Yep, fuel pump.

You will notice it more if you turn the key slowly.

If you jump in the car, fling the key into its hole and turn the car over straight away, you wont notice it, but if you leave it on second click for a few seconds, you'll hear it.

It should cut out after a few seconds, and if you try to listen for it again, it wont do it, because the fuel is already where it needs to be. :uh-huh:
