Handbrake Handle

quick question. is it even possible to take the handbrake handle/cover off? not the boot trim or anything, just the cover on the handle? ive searched the site n out heaps of ppl ask this question but with no answers. mine is just worn out n looks crappy so i wanna replace it with a chrome and black leather handle i got off a friend. anyone know how to take the stock one off?????

i asked the same question no answer, ive tried removing it.. was tight as so i gave up....i just bought a carbon fibre look trim and stuck it on top, looks good....

Im not sure but on my old FTO "tiptronic" the gear stick was a bitch to get off and no one knew how to do it. In the end i learned the button could be popped out and revealed screws or socket head cap screws i cant remember but the button had to be prised out like u do when removing the dash... clip like thingies. Once it was out it was simple step by step. Im thinkin that since its a button like set up it might be the same, just an idea?
