OMG - yesterday was the best day ever.

Juz you are ace for thinking the best idea you have ever had is to get me and James to come up and be drivers for you for this day. ;)

Bently was suprising (had a short "drag" to the speed limit in it against James in the 430 and the rarri was only JUST pulling ahead when we had to back off). But then what do you expect from a W12 6.0L twin turbo.

The Aston was the nicest car IMO for an excecutive daily driver. The sound was amazing and the interior was perfect. But it was hard to really appreciate it when over half of my day was spent in the Lambo (mostly because no one else wanted it!)

The Lambo sure was a fickle car. It's stupid carbon ceramin clutch (was a propper metal gated manual) would produce more smoke than the Vic bush fires if it even slipped slightly and the car in both 1st gear and reverse at low rpms would really splutter and struggle (and stall and then not want to start again). But taken to the limit in the twisties it was the best car. It felt very GT-R like in it's dynamics and I sure could punt it hard with confidence.

But saying that the best car was the Ferrari (and I really wanted it to be the Lambo). But that Ferrari was just amazing. If I could afford to buy a car from any of them driven yesterday (or any car I've driven ever for that matter) it would be the 430 even though I reckon the Lambo at the limit is faster. The rarri was nearly as fast (just wasn't as confident in the front end when really pushed) but the rarri was better everywhere else by miles. And I also once thought if I was ever stupidly rich enough to afford a car like this that I would get a coupe as they are quicker and more genuine sports cars - that's now been killed too. The total sensory experience of that rarri rag was just mind blowing.

Ferrari 430 rag WTF.

Now I'm back at my desk and life is a lot less enjoyable.

Shut up Mr I Went For a Drive In an F1 Car - we all hate you too.

But if doing that drive day means losing all my friends then thats a sacrifice I'm happy to make.

For reference this is the company:

The Melb division is opening at the Grand Prix and really when you do the financials it's a lot smarter joining this club than it is owning any one of these cars outright.

OK - pics...

Quick stop to put suncream on - was a crystal clear 36-degree day. Snowy and I made use of the boot in the Aston.

Snowy very at home in the Lambo

First photo opp - near Akuna Bay in the Kuringai Chase National Park - beautiful place. From left we have the Bentley Continental GT, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Ferrari 430 Spider, Porsche 997 Carrera S Cabriolet, Lamborghini Gallardo

Being James Bond for the day was awesome. The baby Aston looks and sounds amazing! Most amazing thing though - was the cheapest car there, and second only to the $420,000 Ferrari to enjoy!

Juz and her Ferrari - turned more than a few heads cruising through Sydney traffic

James the Ferrari wrangler - moving it around for the photo shoot, followed by a quick show-and-tell to the Palm Peach locals.

Lambo interior - not as nice as you'd think - following Aston which just looks fantastic in every way.

A quick Ferrari fly-by for the camera. Got the tail out nicely, and scared a few years of the driver of a Subaru Outback coming the other way...

Wiping the grins from our faces will take some serious surgery!

A truely amazing experience!

Now to try a CGT, Enzo, Veyron, Murcielago etc...

Here's your chance to get behind the wheel of your fantasy car, whether it be a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus, BMW, Honda or Maserati. You'll get to drive at least 7 different vehicles and cover over 200kms on the open road. Don’t dream it...drive it!

$545 for the day :)
