Hi Guys, please be careful with your beloved skyline while parking in the Parafield Bunning carpark. it seems there are two suspicious characters stationing there waiting to strike.

I first took notice of them when i was driving into the carpark. two male siting in bloody 37 degree weather and looking very suspicious. they keep looking at my car.

After parking the car, i went into bunning to search for some rubber seals while searching i felt uneasy about those freaks, so decided leave and abandon my shopping intention.

Upon leaving the entrance of bunning, i noticed that the two guys were on their way toward my car(which is totally different direction to any shops)! however i was closer, so i walked abit quicker and press my alarm remote to unlock the doors. the guys noticed that and straight away turn their back to walk back to their car. this doesnt seem right to me.

Guys do be careful

come and see me at mitre 10 instead. just 2mins down the road and the carpark is alot smaller so less chance for these as$h#les to get at your pride and joy. Besides if you look for me {michael} and say your a sau member , I will give you a 10% discount where I can {cant do on everything though} and get some service at least. lol :)

Mike!!! from Mitre 10! oh man, hows it going? its Steve, i used to work on weekends there with ya, back when i was still in school... haha

thanks, will remember that! cheers.

i just want everyone here who live in northen suburbs to be wary if they are parking in Parafield bunning carpark. i had my old car break into and know the pain.

what we should do is... everyone get their skyline go to that carpark and park around their car. then exit your cars with baseball bats etc smash the shit outta their windows, slap an SAU sticker on the car then piss off... lmao. that would be hilarious.

shady bastards aye.low scum with no job and nothing better to do.

true...scum indeed!

thanks for the heads up! will be keeping an eye out next time i go there.

does anyone know their rego number? report it to the cops maybe?

I've had my car broken into twice now and I've grown a very strong hatred for such scum.

In saying that they could've been going over to have a look at your car. One of my friends accidentally set off someones car alarm just because he was so absorbed with examining the car, ~awkward~...

The anguish, not knowing what happened exactly or who did it has brought me to the point where I'm even tempted so far as to hunt these sort of bastards just for fun by setting them up just so I can f**k them up.

 That is bad I cant believe that they are so obvious these days about stealing cars I use to go to Parafield Bunnings all the time

This is exactly the reason why we never park the GTR were we cant see it and why it only come out on weekends

Such a shame and such Assholes :)

Glad they didnt get the chance to take your car

I think you guys are just paranoid, thinking everyone wants your car..... what a toss.....

They are probably really nice people who liked your car... I think your all jumping to a bad conclusion way too soon...

And you shouldn't judge people on what they drive... shit I once drive a falcon but I ain't a 'bogan'...

Snoby skyliners..

Buddy you obviously are not aware that SA is actually the bogan state of Australia, If anyone can pick a bogan, we can! Besides are you familiar with suburbs over here? if not then maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself or state......... just a thought! ;)

With all the skyline and import thefts of late, i think jumping to conclusions is fair... especially with the described behavior they displayed.

Mind you i dont think it's fair generalising falcon drivers as bogans, but im sure the comment was in jest :)

If they were the shady type, it would be interesting to bait them into doing something and filming them doing it, while also taking pics of them, their car, their rego plates. Maybe follow them around to see where the go etc ;)

The setting up of a trap and waiting for a chance to f**k them up is always appealing; oh so appealing! Unfortunately knowingly taking part in such acts is somewhat illegal i think... and unfortunatley you'd probably get in more trouble than the scum breaking into your car ... love the law

Also it doesn't hurt to be extra cautious :)

Yeah you're right - you'd end up worse off. It's disgusting.

What's more disgusting is I wasn't consulted when they made the law ;)

you probably havent own a car long enough to get break into. thats why you dont quite understand the fact how despicable theif are? once they got into the car, they couldnt find anything valuable they started tearing up your interior. low life scum.

mmm i live in sa and i drive a falcon as my everday day car and my line when i feel like . so does that make me a bogon when i drive my falcon to bunnings at parafield to pick up things that wont fit in my skyline . im so confused i think i might be a part time bogon and part time paranoid skyline driver ????????????????????????? helpppppp

    • The engine stuff is Greg Autism to the Max. I contacted Tony Mamo previously from AFR who went off to make his own company to further refine AFR heads. He is a wizard in US LS world. Pretty much the best person on earth who will sell you things he's done weird wizard magic to. The cam spec is not too different. I have a 232/234 .600/603 lift, 114LSA cam currently. The new one is 227/233 .638 .634. The 1.8 ratio roller rockers will effectively push this cam into the ~.670 range. These also get Mamo'ified to be drilled out and tapped to use a 10mm bolt over an 8mm for better stability. This is what lead to the cam being specced. The plan is to run it to 6800. (6600 currently). The Johnson lifters are to maintain proper lift at heavy use which is something the LS7's supposedly fail at and lose a bit of pressure, robbing you of lift at higher RPM. Hollow stem valves for better, well everything, Valve train control. I dunno. Hollow is better. The valves are also not on a standard valve angle. Compression ratio is going from 10.6 to 11.3. The cam is smaller, but also not really... The cam was specced when I generated a chart where I counted the frames of a lap video I had and noted how much of the time in % I spent at what RPM while on track at Sandown. The current cam/heads are a bit mismatched, the standard LS1 heads are the restriction to power, which is why everyone CNC's them to get a pretty solid improvement. Most of the difference between LS1->LS2->LS3 is really just better stock heads. The current cam is falling over about 600rpm earlier than it 'should' given the rest of my current setup. CNC'ing heads closes the gap with regards to heads. Aftermarket heads eliminate the gap and go further. The MMS heads go even further than that, and the heads I have in the box could quite easily be bolted to a 7.0 427ci or 454 and not be any restriction at all. Tony Mamo previously worked with AFR, designed new heads from scratch then eventually founded his own business. There he takes the AFR items and performs further wizardry, CNC'ing them and then manually porting the result. He also ports the FAST102 composite manifold: Before and after There's also an improved racing crank scraper and windage tray. Helps to keep oil in the pan. Supposedly gains 2% power. Tony also ports Melling oil pumps, so you get more oil pressure down low at idle, and the same as what you want up top thanks to a suitable relief spring. There's also the timing chain kit with a Torrington bearing to make sure the cam doesn't have any thrust. Yes I'll post a before and after when it all eventually goes together. It'll probably make 2kw more than a setup that would be $15,000 cheaper :p
    • Because the cars wheels are on blocks, you slide under the car.   Pretty much all the bolts you touched should have been put in, but not fully torque up.   Back them off a turn or two, and then tighten them up from under the car with the wheels sitting on the blocks holding car up in the air.
    • Yes. Imagine you have the car on the ground, and you mine away all the ground under and around it, except for the area directly under each individual wheel. That's exactly how it'd look, except the ground will be what ever you make the bit under each wheel from
    • Yes, if you set the "height" right so that it's basically where it would be when sitting on the wheel. It's actually exactly how I tighten bolts that need to be done that way. However....urethane bushes do NOT need to be done that way. The bush slides on both the inner and outer. It's only rubber bushes that are bonded to the outer that need to be clamped to the crush tube in the "home" position. And my car is so full of sphericals now that I have very few that I need to do properly and I sometimes forget and have to go back and fix it afterwards!
