You can use a RB25 PFC to drive a 20, provided its to suit a series one r33, not a series two, as there is a few wiring changes in the loom, however the series 1 loom is identical to the 20 loom, except for the added output to control the variable cam, which you just disable within the PFC..

if you sanp up the series 1 PFC you will also score the handcontroller with it, the AP engineering rb20 PFC did not come with the hand controller as stock..

Bobbo, get off your bandwagon. Thats all part of the old bs which I am not getting into but the tunes are not lean at all. Sad that some babies still feel it necessary to do burnouts in front of workshops. 1 word, childish.

My car has been running the Wolf for quite some time, it most certainly isn't lean and neither are any of the other 1000's I have seen.

power fc if you can find one for ease of use (straight plug in). Or if you want features like rotational idle, launch control, traction control, anti-lag, dual rev limits etc go autronic ;) not straight plug and play...will require a rewire

So what exactly justified the extra $5-600 for the 20 pfc's? I suppose you do pay a premium for the ease of plug'n'play :)

I know this, basically you ordered one for a 20, they took a 25 one off the shelf and sent it to AP Engineering to be modified. They were like $1500 with a controller.

But if what Denver said is correct, then you should just be able to get a 25 one and have some competent person modify it for you. Which is cool as long as it could be easily reverted back to 25 guise when I eventually put a 25 in

* the power FC is a great ecu for a quick setup, away you go everything working just like stock.

* the wolf v5 plugin appears to be a good ecu (takes more setup time, has more features), the other versions weren't too bad either. Steve (topracing now?) tunes them well and has been dealing with them for a very long time.

* ROM changes are also good value, provided you have an ecu that accepts them, although you don't have the software to make changes yourself at any point and proprietry ROMs and software mean limited tuner choices?

The rest are more setup intensive, so cost is going to be higher for perhaps limited or no return.

The tuner dictates the result at the end of the day but, an ecu with lots of tuners to choose from isn't a bad thing.

hence why im getting wolf v5 coz top racing is only workshop i let touch my car after being screwed around by a higher profile tuning workshop

The very first prototype Wolf plug and play was controlling the 1st and still the fastest GTR 1/4pass in a local WA car and the upgrades since then have been huge. The best ECU to use is the ECU your tuner uses.Theres a huge amount of cars doing very well on all the plugins on the market so if your happy with your prefered shop go with their ECU.

Had a few different ecus now, as for fast on WOT even carbys are so propoganda time aside. Rom is a good option for you cheap perfect drivability plug her back in, Id seriously noty get suckered into all the extra wank functionality of roto idle antilag data logging for a street car its great for the pub wank talker conversation "my wanker ecu has more wank than yours blah blah. The next 3 cars I have are all going pfc DJ. Using power FC you leave you options for tuners open as most of the locals are capable of tuning them, the specialised "only one person is the expert" in a particular type may paint yourself into a corner later.

That aside can anyone think of a reason or two why a 26 DJ cant be wired over a 20
