I guess before you do anything, you gotta ask yourself what you really want out of your car. If you want a 9 second strip warrior, then advanced ECU’s and much folding stuff for dyno time will obviously be what you need. But if you want value for money (and who doesn’t?), ease of integration, factory parameters (cold start, idle, a/c etc.) and the knowledge that your ecu can easily be tuned by most reputable tuners, then there really is no competition for PFC. If there was, the results you see on the poll would be different, but they aren’t and that’s for very good reason.

1 thing you really need to do as I suggested before is look into them yourself. Don't ask people what they want to bag as there is A LOT of politics in this. Speak to some tuners of them, ask what they think are good features and go with what you like and you believe to be value for money.

Asides from a couple of posts, there has been no "bagging"

I could easily, but the thread will get shut down, ill get banned, its just not worth it, plus its too easy.

I prefer using the discussion method these days.

So ill ask once again, can you show me what big hitter cars are currently powered by wolf? And as the argument came from you yourself, no if maybe cars, current ones only please. Please dont use ants car either, as its not a current car as its no longer wolf powered. We all know it did the first 10 second pass ever using one, and no its not the quickest GTR pass in WA - that goes to Kier with a motec.

Which cars have won state championships, and are they in a class that actually challanges them to win?

Even as understandable as that argument is, if people have enough money to build a 11/10/-9 sec car than they are going to have the money for whatever ems they damn well want!!

It may just be me but I thought the intention of this thread was to see what daily driven cars have in the way of an ECU, so bringing up car's with an engine worth more than everything else like Keir Wilson's or Ant Scali's GTR doesn't really make sense to me.

I never said you bagged on here TJ, but I know you lot do outside of here. As for quick cars, I don't get involved in the shop really, horses are my life priority but ones I know of now, Wholagans GTR that races, John's EVO, Jeff's (no not my brother) GTR, Mum's on stock turbos and all with just Wolf, exhaust and fmic did a comfortable 12.05, the GTS-R, the 1600, a Cefiro, Gregs black S14, another S13 drifter, an Supra, I am sure Dad can list of 100 more and unfortunately I don't know most of their names but can point there cars out.

The direct engine the person wants to know about is the RB20DET silvertop. I have 1 of these, mine makes awesome power on very little $$$'s (far less than this one) has had spent on the engine just running a Wolf. These cars besides 3 are all very quick street cars with little work done on internals or turbo's or anything. This list is a 2 second list from someone who doesn't spend very much time at the workshop at all.

APEXI POWER FC = FTW

For street driver car i think, as many do around the world you cant go pass the PFC valve for money and ease of install and tune.

If you were talking race car or drag car i would most likely go for something a little different especially if i was going hardcore (not that you have to but more for monitoring and datalogging).

The ONLY thing again the Wolf is that not as many tuners like to use it so you can be a little limited in your choice for a tuner.

I run two Nissan turbo charged street car on PFC and could not be happier and i absolutely love the hand control for monitor engine condition and fault finding sensors etc (can make your life so easy solving/finding a problem)

Just to throw another ecu into the water-works i have just been fitting and tuning HKS f-con v-pro into many Jap cars. These are a ecu designed in Japan by Japs for Jap cars. They have all the functions you would ever need for a Jap car, such as Launch control and user defined inputs and out puts, and Data logging ETC.

Are these HKS ecu's model specific?

So if I was to say put one in an R32 with an RB20DET which later gets upgraded to an RB25, all I would need is to purchase a harness for the new engine and get it retuned?

These harnesses, are they a complete engine harness or just plug between the old ecu plug and the new ecu, or something different again?

Sorry for all the questions :)
