I just purchased one of these, i was tossing up between it and the nice shiny JUN style ones on E-bay, i know these are a bit crappy, but worth a try for the price, i am not expecting allot when it arrives.

i am just disapointed i never got in on the SAU group buy... i think it's $195 delievered.. not bad... when i had to pay $350... if it is any good i will buy another $200 one as a spare if it does crack or break...

My only concear is if it does crack that bits of cast will go straight into my engine... I guess we'll have to wait and see...

When get mine i will take pics of the whole job...

As for the post above, is it worth it? well i dunno it will only be in my racecar 33.. It's motor is starting to get a bit sad and we've got 2 spare stocko det motors without accesories... i am really just interested to see what difference they make and what quality they are...

i will let you all know... lol

iterested to see results,

has anyone fittted one to an r34 gtt yet? i think you would need to change iac valve to r33 style and injectors. any one know if anything else needs to be modified to make it fit and r34?

ssame as the 'stryder' ones. The bell mouths are hard up against the plenum walls, making them largely useless

Raised/tuned length bell mouths are only practical for Naturally Asperated engines, raising the bell mouth on a forced induction setup is useless.

I wouldn't call those rings in that plenum "bell mouth".

I think you are correct about the bell mouths, they are only of real benifit during negative pressure, although perhaps someone can confirm that they don't so anything under boost situations? They help offset the issue with having a bigger plenum volume to some extent, that has a negative effect on vacume situations in NA mode.

I wouldn't call them bell mouths either execpt that the manufacterer claims that they are, and they sort of look like them although very crap versions.

Klenn thank you for report.

Does it have a nipple (or a hole for a nipple) for turbo water-feed near cyl. No 6?

Where is your washer bottle now? Is it relocated or totaly removed?

Um no it didnt have a nipple(if its the one im thinking about-the one that runs parallel with the fuel rail and has a nipple right at the back??) it does not have that but from what I can remember it was not really nessary and the coolant running through there would have heated up the manifold more. I just run a pipe underneath & connected it up. I also left the coolant pipes off the t/b aswell.

Um I made the i/c pipe quite tight so it goes straight down the standard washer will not fit you could use a smaller 1 off another car, I chose to make 1 out of perspex with a swinging lid so I can fill it with ice it & put another washer motor in for i/c sprayer.

    • Fuel tank is out. Looks pretty bloody good under (ie above) the fuel tank.  Amazing how good the factory e-coat holds up in the hidden areas.  No where near as much body deadener to get rid of as the front but still not looking forward to it!  Shit of a job.  I'm thinking I might grab a needle scaler and give that a go before I attack it with the angle grinder and wire wheel which is how I did the front 2/3's of the car.  Feels good to be working on the car again but who knows how long it will last!  Hopefully I can get it further forward than where it was prior to this last block of work when I decided to go back 10 steps further down the rabbit hole from where i already was! The problem is, I'm realising how hard it will be to repair and paint the bumpers, which cannot be put back on the car, and have a good paint match. There are also areas where it would be VERY hard to hide the new paint where it transitions from old paint. Like this- There is only one way to do that perfectly and I really dont want to have to do what that means I would have to do... 🤦‍♂️
    • Pretty sure the factory assembly doesn't have any gasket at all, just RTV.
    • I will get a couple cans for sure thanks, I do have 2lt fish oil to spray around the car already.
    • Thought I’d post pics of the packages for those interested. The premium package is #16. Remote start, security with tilt sensor and remote and backup battery, auto fold mirrors and door illumination.    Can post up pics of all the factory options and images from the factory options brochure if people are interested. I have all the dealer books etc for all rv37 models.
