underground
Hey Guys, I am a huge fan of Eagle products, and am glad to see they have released a set for the RB26DETT Motorset. If this is old news to some of you, then disregard this post. I noticed a press release on their website, so I assume these are brand new or have only been released for a short time. Part #CRS4783N3D 4.783" stock dimension fitment for Nissan RB26, 3/8" ARP 2000 bolts $600.00/set Even better, they only retail for $600/set so you should be able to find some great deals on pricing through their dealers. This price includes ARP Rod Bolts, so the pricing is fantastic. Here's the link to their website, I hope you guys send them some business, as there very nice folks with a high quality product. http://www.eaglerod.com/products/Nissan/Nissan%20rods.html Edited January 10, 2007 by underground Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/151132-eagle-rods-now-making-rb26dett-rods-only-600us-per-set/ Share on other sites

underground
Haha, guess I'm definitely behind...and I guess it's time they update their website... I'm going with these rods and CP Pistons, but am still trying to decide between the 86.5 and 87 bore setup. Any suggestions? James_03
yeah so its like $770AU with freight on top of that. I wonder if you pay import on top of that again but. Probably not. R31Nismoid
It was around $800-$850 landed, depends on what you paid for them at the time etc. There was a trader selling them here i think. Jago
What's the quality like on eagle rods? I've heard really really mixed reactions. One person said they are completely shit and to avoid them like the plague, other's said they are good. A set have been made available to me for a decent price, I'm not sure whether or not to use the standard RB26 rods, have them shot peined, cryo treated and linished/balanced, or to get the eagle rods and just make sure they are all balanced. Anyone? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/151132-eagle-rods-now-making-rb26dett-rods-only-600us-per-set/#findComment-2914554 Share on other sites
underground
The quality is quite good, and they are highly respected in the US Domestic Cars Market. I think many of the imports guys like to knock it, because it's not JDM Yo! If you follow what I'm saying.... For the price, it can't be beat... r33_racer
i think youll find in aus down here hardly anyone actually uses jdm pistons or rods. Theres enough australian/american stuff here thats plenty good enough and readily available. underground
Eagle is a US Domestic Parts based company, that focuses mostly on the Chevy/Ford Market.... They, unlike the others, aren't going to mark up the Japanese Car Parts prices and probably have little to no idea, on their competitors pricing. I can assure you this piece is not even on their radar, in regards to their top selling pieces. Like I said, they are well respected in the domestic market (I'm a previous 03 Mustang Cobra, and two Z06 Corvettes), and I have no fear of running them on my car.
