Hi, anyone know of anyone wanting to sell their 200sx?

Prefer the following.

Early S15 (Nov 2000 onwards to Mid 2001).

Already done 30-60k.

Spec-S, perhaps even Spec-R if the price is ok.

Black, Silver or Red.

Seller within 300km of Sydney.

No mods.

Please mail me if you have something. I'm in no rush for one at the moment as I'm actually enjoying going back to catching the train to work after my GTS-T was totalled :( .

Thanks! :)

The later 2002 models with only 15,000km are going for around $32k to $38k at dealers. I haven't seen any early S15's from Nov 2000 to 2001 floating around in all the online ad's so no idea what they might go for. I suspect perhaps $26k to $32k.

I'd be stoked if I could find a private sale for a Nov 2000 S15 in Black going for $26-28k. Perhaps something that had done higher kms.

I'm probably going to leave it for later as well. Perhaps even wait till the end of the year when prices will be more reasonable for the S15's.

The prices are a little differant here in QLD, but the 01/02 go for around $32k - $40k and anything before around $30k.

I have only seen 1 or 2 below $30,000...

I am going to get a modified one to try and save some money..

I'll let you know if i find anything..

I purchase the series 2 GTS-T fully modified for $36k which was actually a good deal considering the mods cost the guy about $20k on top of the standard series 2 price of about $28k+

Insurance gets a little nasty at your age.

Personally I don't want to ever modify my next car. Could just be that fact that I'm still feeling a little rattled by my accident and would rather be driving a little Mini Cooper right now.

It will pass...

Was it a modified one?

I looked into this and their isnt a great advantage, first of all you have to get an earlier model car then whats available here, and you end paying almost the same price anyway..

I couldnt justify myself buying a 1992/1993 model car for $30 - $30k when you can pick up a S15 01 with 15,000km's for the same price..

just_grouse i had a look on another forum and saw a couple of black S15's 2 mildly modified sold for $35k and standard one for around $32...

It's the $$$ commitment that's the big issue. The $36k lease I had was draining the income faster than I would have liked (didn't help when the R33 needed it's engine replaced...damn mods!).

$26k seems to be the sweet spot so I guess I'll just have to wait for the right car. The S15 is the only 200sx I like the look of, inside and out.

Silver-Arrowz - I'd be just has happy to drive an R32 GTR or RX7 even but that also doesn't fit the budget right now.

Time for a little begging to the boss for more wonga?

Bloody mortgage!

    • Of course you can. That was a waste. Straight down one oil drain gallery and out the sump hole. Could at least have run the engine a little (obviously with at least minimum oil level on the stick).
    • Oh really? Maybe I'm being silly. I'll get some more shots. I had it higher but found that it went too high after a drive, I never knew this but exhausts can move around a bit when hot (makes sense, just never knew) and when it was higher it would make nice cooking plastic smells. That said, I could put some heat tape on a'la 90's R33 exhausts     Ha, I've spent a lot of my life in castle hill waiting for cars to be done. I think I'd prefer something closer but thanks D.
    • @Duncan Yes, changed filter every time. I don't have the service manual for the car yet (Car was imported and they removed everything when importing). I've been using the oil change threads in the forum as reference.   @Milkmun The second oil change was after ~4 months after the first months and I wasn't sure about reusing engine oil that was opened. The third oil change happened within 3 weeks of the second oil change and I used the previous leftover oil to just "clean up" the system. (Poured it through while the sump plug was open")
    • I left the ceramic coating off this bit, hopefully it just comes off after a few drives.   The gap between the spokes is too tight for anything on a stick, its only marginally bigger than my finger. I have to use a brush to get in there and its a big reason why I thought I'd try the coating.   Absolutely will do. I have EBC Blue Stuff pads to put on the front which will make them a bit dirtier. I'm hoping a pressure wash will just get most off. The shine is different to most, its very thin but seems very well 'attached' so hopefully it lasts.
