hey again...

Ok i've been doin some research and i've learnt that the r33 gtst's

came out with a medium sized t25/t3 turbo? i assume thats correct?

Also i've read that the t28 turbo which i pressume is a larger more powerful turbo

came out on the silvias from s14 up???

From the info i've read, i gather that the t28 has the same 5 bolt exhaust housing as that

on the rb25 turbo. Aswell as a t3 flange??? Can someone confirm?

Therefore, if i was to get a high flow turbo for my r33 gtst, would i be better off using the

t28 over the standard r33 turbo? has anyone done this etc?

does it just bolt straight in?

Im well aware that theres probably heaps of threads on this already, but when i run searches

the results dont show much in the way of posts that answer this questions.

If someone could confirm that would be fantastic.

Thanks

Guesty.

Do you know whats involved in hi-flowing a turbo?

The housings are machined out... and quite a bit.

So the actual "size" is changed quite substancially.

Use the R33 GTS-t turbo for hi-flowing

only ask cause i was offered a high flowed t28

wanted 2 know whether 2 get it cheaper

or just high flow mine

SR20's manifold flange run a different flange to the RB25s.

So... you would need to change rear housing, and then have your rear housing (if it was actually bolt on, and im unsure of this) machined to suit

or have an adaptor flange plate laser cut so it would bolt to the R33 manifold.

Lot of rooting around for a second hand turbo

I can't remember the actual compressor housing size of a t28 as compared to a rb20 turbo housing but one thing is for sure...it can handle more boost than the shitty ceramic dinosaur rb20 turbos and will make more power too...

if your gonna go a t28 get one off an s15, they r newer and they r ball bearing s14 ones are not ball bearing it only a small thing but very noticeable

On the contrary...only jap spec s14 and s15 t28s are bb...the aussie delivered s15s and s14 t28s are bush bearing...
