Starting Problems

this morning i went to start my car and it normally starts fine but this morning it was kicking over and about to start but then it would go back to just turning over/kicking over! after a while i started to pump my accelerator and it took a while to start but it did! any ideas? it would be great to hear your thoughts i have priced up a new fuel pump from nissan in japan $750, so any other thoughts would be good! i have a rb25det thanks guys

And does it run properly after that?

You can get a new Bosch unit for much less than that. Direct replacement.

Check spark plugs; gap new ones to 0.8 .

Any engine/ecu mods?

no mods just air filter! yeah the car runs fine after that! i was thinking if it was the fuel pump wouldnt it starve on boost if it wasnt pumping properly! i was thinking it could be plugs as well could be oiled up or somethin?

could i get that stuff from bp or super cheap FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER would that do it the job if it is the injectors?

Check the basics first b4 spending money on other stuff

better off cleaning properly,

injector cleaner will probably just ruin ur spark plugs like octane booster

hmmmm how could i clean them properly ??? have to get a shop to do it hey?? am i looking at $$$

pull em out, and you need to take them to someone who has a machine to clean them

if you can pull em out the charge for cleaning shouldnt be that bad
