post-32489-1168862293.jpghey i just install a pod filter into my r32.. im just wondering if im going to have a problem with dust geting into my engine bay because there is no air box anymore. The pod filter is also very load when sucking in the air.. just wondering if this is normal.. thank you

i dont mean the pod filter would cause more dust.. because there is no box anymore the dust would just flow with the air from the road into the engine bay.. my snorkel has a piece of rubber in the connection with the other pipe that lets it sit up properly, it can still be pulled of very easily but at least it stays there..

yeh i understand that they would make the sucking noise i just wasnt expecting it to be so loud.. but yeh im sure its all fine.. do u think i will need to make a heat sheild for it or will the heat sheild have no affect because its a turbo and all.

LOL!! Actually unsealed pods are actually less effective than that good old restrictive airbox you just removed. There are plenty of threads explaining why if you go pod you should seal it off with a heatshield so I won't get into it.

At the end of the day it's your car and your choice as to which mods you believe is best.
