R32 Gtst Hicas Problem

hey, am just trying to help a friend out, some of the details are a little vague. basically, pump is fine, no leaks, fresh fluid, but the hicas/power steering cuts in and out, and ideas?

1. no i havent driven it

2. no i cant get any better details than that right now

Hey when you say cuts in and out, is it normally when u have drain? Mine starts jerking if im in traffic with the lights on or sitting still with power drain to long.. have been told its the alternator, tried replacing battery and it didnt fix it.. when it's jerking the power is pretty low, voltage wise.

yeah, turned out to be something electric. solenoid isnt seeing power its supposed to. anyone know where the relay/computer is located is located?

For R32, it's under the parcel shelf. Check there

mm damn, if u fix it post here.. i take mine to places to get fixed and they have no idea where to start, sucks.. I can't get mine into HICAS diag. mode either, i have the guide, it just doesnt work

yeah, while i was there with em, they both were checking the boot, and they couldnt find it, they were specifically looking around under the parcel shelf. i didnt look myself, but saw them inspecting it. have to have another look tomorow maybe....

do people often move the HICAS electrics for audio installs? he has an amp and sub just sitting in the boot, but not under the parcel shelf, stuff just sitting there, so shouldnt effect it.... maybe some dodgy audio wiring has something to do with the problem?
