^^ HAHA!! Yeah I do that and friends have this  look on their face.

Ok haven't read all the post but heres mine.

You Know You Drive A Skyline When .. ... .

... Every commodore / ford of all types wanna drag you at the lights.

... BMW 318i's and Mini Copper S all wanna race after you. (I was like WTF)

... Sit and wait till the turbo timer has finished. (Now I'm really pushing it)

... On a hot day, pop the bonnet and let the heat vent out and cool down for like 5-6 mins

... You actualy find out how so many girls love you car. :)

You remind EVERYONE that a GTR won Bathurst and was then banned.

You see a VL Commodore and think 'what a waste of a great block'

You secretly envy how much power the 2JZ-GTE engine can make with stock internals..........but RB's are still just better!

Fuel prices make you cry.

... you instantly go to the back of the car park so no one parks next to you

... you get a sore neck on long drives from the stupidly stiff suspension

... you get angry looks from old people even if you are doing 20km under the speed limit

... when after turning off the ignition, you jump out and run to the rear of the car just so you can hear the exhaust purr for a few seconds before the turbo timer cuts off your baby :D

... when every other car on the road is in the way of your "racing line" :P

when your v8 friends think that "drifting" is rev-dumping first gear from stationary position and kicking the car out sideways a couple times till bodyroll takes over.

when you see a young honda driver with rims and a shopping list, and thinking what a shame...

^^When you v8 friend says his VT Commodore SS is 197kw stock at the flywheel and then add on a high flow air intake and an exhaust system and it becomes 197kw at the rear wheels. Sounds abit wank!

And he dribbles shit on like a virgin p plater on how good his SS is and ya sit and in ya head you are laughing ya ass off.

You know when you drive a Skyline when HSV fan bois say "drift racing is a novelty."

I find it quite a novelty trying to race 4 door taxi.

i think there must be a few of us out there lol
Iv got 3 drift cars now lol 2 electric and 1 petrol

I have one too, Its identical to my DR30 except for the rims, if anyone knows where to get dished RS-8 Watanabe R/C wheels let me know

when..... people/p platers drive up your ass when they see a personalised number plate and try to drag you. they even try n cut through traffic just to get next to you. and they nearly cause accidents doing it. lolll

u know u drive a skyline when u have 6 drunk blonde aussie chicks in ur car lol

hehehehe

the posatives of a 33 :( jokes

i can only get 5 and thats with them sitting on each others laps

    • Just had a look, they don't. Fuelling on the base map is purely alpha-N, and the ignition table is MAP. Remember it's just a base map to get the car moving
    • Hi everyone, I’m Dave from Canberra. Here's a few pics of my 1992 R32 GTST coupe which I imported back in 2006. Only mods so far are HKS Hi-power cat back exhaust, K&N filter, ATC Volanti steering wheel, Pioneer stereo, amp and sub. This was my daily driver up until 2015 and sadly hasn’t been driven at all in the last 5 years due to marriage, work, and kids taking up most of my time and spare cash.As such its in need of a bit of TLC and one of my goals for this year is to get it back to running condition and maybe look into club/historic rego. I’ve joined SAU so I can ask a few questions along the way (although I promise to google Current Problem +SAU beforehand!)
    • From talking to the mx5 guys the NC doesn't actually need bonnet vents like the earlier NA and NB models, due to a better designed cooling system and undertray design There's plenty of them used as street cars and weekend track toys running anywhere from around 170 to 250kw with stock non vented bonnets, I initially was going to get some bonnet vents, but, as they are not actually required, I'll put vents on hold for a while and just monitor temps, though I do need to get something to actually monitor engine oil temps though, coolant temp can be pulled from the OBD2, but the oil gauge in the car is not actual oil temp, it is only a calculation based off coolant temp and RPM ☹️ They do recommend upgrading the radiator, which I have already done with a triple pass, and the only other thing they recommend for a street car is heat management, like I talked about above to protect bits in the engine bay from radiant heat, and to either replace the nearly 20 year old plastic coolant expansion tank, which I have done, or get a aftermarket alloy jobbie for some bling They did also say that if I wanted to track the car on occasion a oil cooler and sump baffle would be required, and as I already have had a sump baffle installed when the engine was out......... I'm going to get a oil cooler with a thermostat....... just in case I do eventually track the car, but probably not, but still maybe...🤪
