I just thought other members might like to know what went down in the meeting (ie what motions were put forward and carried, etc) . And how the Exec committee was elected.

I must admit.. as soon as i read the meeting was at Frenches Forest I stopped reading the thread.

I mean hell im happy to drive to Nth Narrabeen at 1am in the morning on a drizzling night to go to the beach but...

A more centralised venue would be nicer and you could consider me a regular attendee.

May I suggest that with something as important as the AGM that an email with details to paid up members may have been appropriate, not all of us have the inclination to visit the forums everyday and read through all the crap that is posted.

Absolutely Bonkers, you are right, and this will be done next time. Being our first one, it kinda crept up on us (hence the late choice of a venue etc). As Dan said, we can learn from this and do it better next time!

I have all the members emails set up, and will be sending out a group one for all official events (not just AGM's) in the future.
