Hey I bought a 92 r32 gts with a rb25 (non turbo) a little while ago and im ready to change the oil but im wondering what would be the best to use and what weight.. from what i gather something like mobil1 5-30 or pennzoil 10-40.. i was going to go the pennzoil but didnt know wether it was fully synthetic or not, basically im just unsure.. any help would be much appreciated cheers

ok then cheers, its for everyday driving if that helps? i'll prob go with something fully synthetic 10-40w.. the goods on oil thread didnt help me much at all.. thats why i posted, anyone know how much oil these babies take? on further note would anyone know where i could find a manual?

Think about it..

It's a non turbo 2.5 engine. Why would you bother with fully synthetic oil?

And you can go too thin. If you use for example 10W 30 it might be good for climates that dont get too hot or very modern engines but the 30 rating is a bit too thin for australian summers and older engines.

The recommendations often change depending on climate. The condition of the engine is also a big factor.

It's not that hard to understand. If you notice the oils for older engines are thicker e.g. the shell one is 25W60.

I'm not saying to go that thick but don't go for 0w30 or something..
